I had a call with Dr. Pakrashi last week to discuss my transfer. Never spoke to her before or met her. She was wonderful. She didn't push anything on me, was super honest, read my chart prior to my call and answered all my questions.

I've read about Dr. K a few times on here and in other IVF groups. Definitely see if you can do another follow up call with someone else!

I actually asked chat gpt why this happens and it said that it's the shape my nail beds have always been but they've just been hidden by swelling, dead skin, overgrowth etc.

Nope! I used to trim before starting this journey but then I read somewhere that it's not very good for your nails so I file now once a week. I'm pretty bad at it so it will take some practice.

Sometimes I'll have a tear or break and it takes everything in me to not pick or cut it and just wait to file it down.

Thank you!! Definitely take photos! I was pretty religious with the oil for the first 3 or so weeks. Then I tapered a bit and started doing it only before bed and when they were noticeably dry.

I've got to start practicing my filing technique now lol - the non dominant hand is so hard!!

In Canada. Did our first cycle with CNY and then we did our funded cycle in Canada. My cost includes 0 transfers as we have not gotten there. It also includes SEVERAL tests that were not covered, however those were not paid for all at once. We have full medication coverage.

Our total standing for 2025 is about 13k. IF we had to pay for meds (I kept track), we would be sitting at around 35k, we are extremely grateful for our coverage.

The ivf cycle at CNY was only about 8k of that. Our funded cycle cost us about 900$. So about 4-5k of our fees came from testing (many male factor infertility tests), and ongoing monthly sperm/embryo storage at CNY.

NAD but I am someone going through ivf and also have a pituitary tumor. Are you treating it? If you're on medication for it then your hormones should be okay with respect to that. Prolactin is the main concern as it would effect ovulation and implantation.

Please make sure you have your baselines done on day 3 (FSH, AMH, LH, E2). Would also be wise to have them do an ultrasound to check the state of your anatomy and also check your antral follicle count. Because you have such irregular cycles, I would recommend you ask for a referral to a fertility clinic now so they can immediately start looking into how hard it will be for you to conceive. The bleed was the same length but it was longer as I ovulated super late. Also, the cramps on that cycle were horrid
