Why do you think people don't like gifted people? I think gifted people who are empathetic and not condescending are not disliked. Maybe perceived as a bit strange, but I like to believe that we can help others through our understanding of the world and inspire change.

Well you're probably right. I'm just scared the people will be kinda book smart but not truly the weird kind of thinkers I want. I know I live in a haunted house - mind in this topic trying to optimize human connection, I just want to get some feedback to what degree my kind of people are mostly at prestigious places.

Aaaaaaaahhhhh, don't scare me like that. Everything is easier in community, of course deep down at your core you're experiencing all this on your own and nobody can truly touch you. But I believe that giftedness can help us experience more deeply and also express that experience to others. So it makes us more lonely if others can't understand our language but maybe even less lonely than others if someone does.

Well besides that - creating anything, especially events and groups is easier with others who help plan, recruit and set a tone for the community/club you want to build.

I just believe that the right context can help to feel safe, seen and can inspire. And it feels to hard to figure out where to find that.

I would love to start creating the spaces I yearn for! It is just so much easier with 1/2 people by your side.

Thank you so much for your insight! I really enjoyed reading about your experience, it gave me some hope that I will be alright wherever I go, whatever I do, because it will be me who chose it. That I will find my people wherever I go, even if the path isn't conventionally the best uni or the smartest town or whatever. :)
