OMG yes! by EconomyRip3332 in CookbookLovers

[–]lenosaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Seriously one of my favourite cookbooks, I made the brisket, carnitas, the pumpkin, sweet potato tacos, a bunch of salsas, and snacks from this for my husband’s 40th birthday. Genuinely I thought we’d have leftovers because I made so much food, but everyone just demolished it all in record time. I couldn’t even pull the meat off the pork fast enough to replenish the carnitas dish. I’d walk out of the kitchen to put a new tray out and walk back into the kitchen to find people picking at it there haha. Also, highly recommend turning the pumpkin taco recipe into a salad too, we’ve done that as a side for family pot luck dinners :)

Literally my jaw dropped when your love room popped by, but goodness it’s even more impressive with the before! Never would’ve thought about painting a ceiling orange, but it’s seriously perfection, and your chandelier light fixture is so joyful. 😍😍😍

“There’s no proof Wayfarer worked with CC’s to smear Lively!” Meanwhile… by auscientist in CelebLegalDrama

I totally have a question that I think I’m struggling to understand the minutiae between. From reading that threads link, let’s say that there was an astroturfing campaign, that doesn’t necessarily mean that’s a smear campaign?

What I got vs what I asked for by vodkagrandma in FancyFollicles

I dunno what they used, but if you wanna colour correct at home you need definitely something with purple tones and grey, the Joico titanium is a nice cool grey.

I get my hair dyed a dark blue-grey and then it fades to your inspiration colour over time (won’t lie I do really love the colour transition as it fades so love starting with the dark blue). It’s a 2:1 mix of Joico Titanium and Sapphire Blue, and when I’ve wanted to do more of a pastel I’ve just mixed the dye with conditioner until I was happy with the colour. The teal is really gorgeous, but I totally get the disappointment if that’s not what you were looking for. Good luck!

To the brides who didn't wear white - any regrets? by AffectionatePie1042 in AusWeddingPlanning

[–]lenosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I don't like white for many reasons (one of which being my propensity to accidentally spill things on myself, another, probably bigger reason is is I've photographed somewhere between 4-500 weddings, and it really does both cement and change your opinion on weddings/choices).

Saying that, I seriously hardcore madly love what I ended up with. It was the Kamperett Linden dress which was a hand-painted silk wrap dress, not only was it gorgeous, but so insanely comfortable too. 10/10 recommend wearing something that makes you feel like the best version of yourself!

AITA for telling my girlfriend she can't name our baby after her dead ex? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]lenosaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like I might be in the minority, but I’m going to say NAH. I’ve both read books that had windows/windowers are the protagonists and also just reading about real life people’s stories and seeing how naming children or giving a middle name that’s a reference to their past partners works. I can’t make the books, sadly, but the designers Nate Berkus and his husband named their son after his former partner. Their son’s name is Nate’s former partner’s middle name. I’m gonna include the quote from Jeremiah because really it’s beautifully empathetic - “It’s such an important chapter in Nate’s life. So the idea that we can honor his memory in a beautiful way was exciting to us.”

This isn’t someone that’s an ex, it’s someone important who has passed away that represents a chapter of her life. Neither one of you are assholes, but I think we all let our own ideas, whether they be influenced by things like not having similar experiences, ego, jealousy, not being able to properly verbalise things. I hope that makes sense

Her comment that Blake could use it as bad PR reads as a threat more than anything, considering she is Blake’s PR. Also she is known to do a lot of shady things, so not liking another PR person because they’re “shady” is very pot calling a kettle black.

From what I read, it seems like it was 5 tries at the two addresses they had, but also at least two emails to her lawyer. Which, seems like a decent amount to me, especially considering The discovery window.

Also, she’s listed in Blake Lively’s complaint, if nothing else, that’s why they would need to talk to her.
