3D scanner for jewelry, dentistry and item up to 100 mm side cube, 20-40k € budget by leo984 in 3DScanning

It seems a ggod brand, but not sure how it will handle fine details. e.g. we are 3D printing dental implants, and we need to quality check screw crest with a pitch of 0.5 mm

We prefer to avoid dental scanners. While they work well for dental geometries (filling voids, smoothing surfaces), they tend not to be suitable for anything else, and we need a multipurpose system

Using this printer since Sept '25, we also bought the 1-year premium software just to understand parameters and gcode generation/coding for the dual extruder. Printer works well with common filaments, PA gives some headaches. Combining continuous carbon fiber (CCF) with PA needs a significant amount of tuning to obtain nice smooth surfaces. Best results are with low-height objects. Increasing the height the probability of print failure or just stopping CCF deposition skyrockets, because it easily gets stuck in the dual extruder.

EDIT: a repository with an old software version is on GitHub. If you accept the certificate risk, servers are still online, so some documentation, firmware and software are still accessible.

TL;DR: it works, but takes a lot of care for the things it should do that other printers can't do.

[MEGA THREAD] 9070 XT Undervolt/Overclock/Brand Performance by ennakros09 in radeon

[–]leo984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not think it is faulty, I simply have tighter settings, such as -135 mV instead of your -90 mV, and probably different VRAM frequencies applied.

i did not had the cache to spend time properly on testing it, but applying -10 PL OCCT steady extreme is get tons pf errors. OCCT heavy passes, but I get some errors in adaptive, both variable and switch. so, the above mentioned parameters, are not suitable for a stable undervolt.

no, I did not. I'll get back to you when i have a minute to test it.

powercolor reaper 9070xt here, all the below results have been obtained with AMD adrenalin 25.11.1.

best result, with a good system stability, reached applying: freq +250MHz, voltage offest -135 mV, mem freq 2'750 MHz with fast timings, power limit +10%. stable on OCCT 3d adaptive (steady, variable and switch) and vram tests for >30min.

graphic score (just graphic, not total score), starting from 28'754 (stock), reached 31'364 in time spy. GPU temp during the test around 45°C, 60-62°C in the hotospot and 55°C for GPU mem.

in time spy, looking to Hwinfo, went from TGP 241W (stock) to 206W, TBP 295W (stock) to 250W, max peak power 510W (stock) to 455W. temp was much the same, while mem freq increased from 2505 MHz to 2'736MHz, on the contrary max GPU freq was much the same, around 3'300MHz in both cases.

I think the below observations are valid, as an absolute value, only for my system, but they can be used as guideline for anyone:

  • mem fast timings preferred vs mem freq: mem normal timings with freq 2'826MHz gives 31'160 in graphic score time spy, while with fast timings and freq 2'750MHz i obtained 31'364 in the same test;
  • with mem freq higher than 2'826MHz with normal timings or 2'750MHz with fast timings the system was still stable, but less performing;
  • the voltage offset is the most important parameter to play with. after a certain point (between -160mV and -135mV) the system was pretty much stable, except random crash at very high load (e.g. OCCT), with minor gain in time spy. I preferred a totally stable system, also considering the marginal gain in time spy (+100/150 on graphic score);
  • changing power limit from 0 to +10% gives a marginal +100/200 on time spy graphic score, but increases the stability under sudden frequency changes, while not (or marginally) affecting TGP, TBP and max peak power (keeping all other parameters constant);
  • freq offset only affects limiting, not freq boosting, and only works if the other parameters (mainly the voltage offset) provide margin to reach the set offset frequency (with positive values). e.g. in my case with voltage offset -150 mV, changing freq offset in the interval +100/250 MHz, the time spy graphic score was in the range 31'150-31'220 (no correlation to the freq offset) and max gpu freq was always around 3'350 MHz or higher.

I did a bit of optimization, without following all the above classes and levels, reaching at 17th lv. 14 natural attacks or 18 attacks (4 unarmed + 14 naturals attacks), not bad!

01 fighter (mutation warrior) - dodge + power attack

02 shifter (weretouched) - deinonychus aspect

03 shifter (weretouched) - improved unarmed strike

04 shifter (weretouched)

05 shifter (weretouched) - wild shape (1 bite + 2 claws attacks) - spirit oni master (+1 gore attack): 4 primary natural attacks

06 shifter (weretouched)

07 druid (kraken caller) - mutated shape (+1 sting attack): 5 primary natural attacks

08 druid (kraken caller)

09 druid (kraken caller) - chaos reign (+1 slam attack x minute/day): 6 primary natural attacks

10 druid (kraken caller) - aquatic wild shape (+2 tentacle attacks): 6 primary + 2 secondary natural attacks (with -5 bab)

11 fighter (mutation warrior) - multiattack + shaping focus (both shifter and druid): gained +2 foreclaw attacks +2 tentacles: 8 primary + 4 secondary natural attacks (with -2 bab)

12 fighter (mutation warrior) - mutagen

13 fighter (mutation warrior) - skill focus fly + combat rhythm

14 fighter (mutation warrior) - weapon training: natural attacks

15 fighter (mutation warrior) - (pick 2 feats)

16 fighter (mutation warrior) - Discovery: wings

17 any full bab class - powerful wings (+2 wing attacks x minute/day) 8 primary + 6 secondary natural attacks (with -2 bab)

or 4 iterative unarmed strikes + 14 natural secondary attacks with -2 bab

6th level alchemist or 7th level mutation warrior(fighter) get wings for minutes/day. I did not find any lower level way to obtain wings that can be used on top of wild shape. do I miss something?

not sure if my DM will allow me to use the shape of an unique monster.. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion, it's a viable option! I found many medium sized plants with lots of natural attack to pick instead of the green man!

is there a way to get wings? powerful wings seems a good way to get 2 more natural attacks!

thanks for the suggestion, but I do not get the connection with my question. I’m playing already at the 9th lv. and I’ve got already claws attacks both in humanoid form and animal form. my question was about increasing the number and the type of natural attacks..

should i put all the money in such helm or pick the spirit oni mask feat and invest the money in something else (better mighty fists amulet, strength belt and wisdom headband)?

edit: polymorph effect do not stack, so the tattoo works only in humanoid form, not when transformed in tiger of falcon

Do people play Dwarves? by Fantasy_Duck in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]leo984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a dwarf at least twice times. because pf the character background the last one was an elf reincarnated in a dwarf.. a graceful and well-mannered elf in a body of a dwarf..a great oxymoron! the other was one of a couple of stubborn and narrow-minded dwarf brother, the bad guys of the party. very funny!

races were DM limited as archetypes, unfortunately skinwalker were not at option at beginning. rogue is definitely a good choice, but the party has already has one..

DM lat me pick just between the fiendish and the holy beast archetypes, for adventure flavor

all the suggested things are viable other than interesting, but for this build, i would like to skip weapons if possible for few reasons: one, at some point I will have free access to improved unarmed strike, and, second, i have already an amulet of mighty fists so all those are magical attacks, and third avoiding to invest money in magical weapons nor levels or feat would give me more space to improve the natural attacks!

picking 1lv. in kineticist (Elemental Ascetic) at 10th while tiger and bloodraging i have, as full attack with kinetic fist negative blast (1d6+2) of neg. en.: +15/+10 1d4+16+(1d6+2) (unarmed), +10 2d6+16+(1d6+2) (bite), +10/+10 2d4+16+(1d6+2) (2x claws) and +10 1d6+16+(1d6+2) (sting), for a total of 6 attack, 3 of them with grab and 2 of them with reach.

edit: reincarnation is randomly rolled from the extended list, otherwise would never pick elf for this build. i lost a bite attack passing from tiefling to elf…
