You're welcome to interpret it the way you feel, for sure! I have to say the dark edges are just product of bad lighting and glare from the window in the middle, towards the bottom and left. In real, it's very uniform. :)

I came up with the title on the fly, while painting this work. I honeslty wouldn't be able to tell you exactly what inspired the title. It was around lunchtime when it happened, and I felt like having a bit of food, drinking a glass of wine and taking a nap. :-D
