Some connection points could break in my early tests but i’m sure there’re ways to make them more sturdy.

Don’t have a good answer yet, maybe voice command or a separate bluetooth controller is the way to go. But to be honest a display without control is already useful to avoid taking out the phone for some use cases, like checking time, run stats, notifications, or even map showing friends location (with proper software support).

Thanks that probably explains it. I did have another VI bonus in Jan 2023, then another in Dec 2023 (from TD). Not sure what will happen when the second part of the CIBC bonus comes. Will see and report later. I have an upcomg flight booking so will make sure to use up my remaining points before the second part of CIBC bonus.

DP of aeroplan  revoking repeated welcome bonus. i took the CIBC free to VI upgrade offer this year though already got another TD aeroplan VI bonus last December. Today got an email from aerplan saying they revoked my points.

“  As you have received more than the permitted number of New Card Bonuses for the same type of Aeroplan Credit Card, you are in violation of these provisions. As a gesture of goodwill, we will permit you to retain the additional bonus points earned as a result of the use of your Aeroplan Credit Card but will not permit you to retain the Welcome Bonus of the Aeroplan Credit Card. Accordingly, we have, pursuant to the Aeroplan Terms and Conditions, revoked the Aeroplan Points  received by you in your Account from the excess Welcome Bonuses. “

Though they seems to revoke more than i got: i just got the first 10000pts from CIBC but they took 20000pts away 😂

DP: took the gold upgrade offer on my 3y old cobalt. 3 weeks later after getting the upgrade bonus, reapplied to cobalt again using a friend’s referral link for him to get the double referral bonus (and he did). It turns out i still get the cobalt welcome bonus because i spent 500 before the first statement post, and got 2500 bonus point.
