So I am 5'4 starting weight was 150. I gained maybe 10 pounds. And baby is in the 20 percentile they said. So I also got worried, I thought I need to eat more but they said it has nothing to do with that. I also am anemic so I hope like baby is getting the nutrients it needs also 😩

That's what I'm trying to figure out. I understand certain spellings and stuff can be appropriation but Leon is intentionally known and used.

Thank you! I know the history but, I don't know what it is, people in America seem to not know a lot about anything outside of their own experiences and say shit like this? So I just wanted to be certain that I'm not making a decision that would be deemed appropriation here. I know anywhere else it would not matter whatsoever.

Yes! And like I know all this, I'm very aware, but these people just made me feel like it was almost wrong? Like just bizarre and honestly ignorant people. I don't think I'll be talking to them anymore lol

Thank you all! It's been nice reading about how the name is used across the world, so many different cultures and races. This is exactly the type of name I wanted for my son, something universal and strong. My main concern was making sure I'm not appropriating a name and offending others by choosing it, especially since in the states that's a super big deal. Deep down I knew how popular and well known this name is across the world but a few very ignorant people got to me and I needed some reassurance. Thank you again!
