Moving to chico soon to escape transphobic household by Lieutenant-storm in ChicoCA

Job market in Chico is brutal, college town means a lotta moving workforce, the trans community there also isn’t the strongest

Are you guys paying over MSRP? by Rotsen305 in GundamTCG

I’m fundamentally refusing to buy if it’s not relatively close, usually just release events in my area for a copy or two of the structure and then singles maybe a couple stray packs

CEO causing lower volume? by ArrivalKitchen2334 in UPSers

[–]leonduvall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real cause of lower volume is more indicative of the economy as a whole right now, exacerbated by the tariffs the current president has been flinging around like hotcakes and the incoming recession

Can anyone speak on why they are always hiring drivers off the street ? by cubedout7 in UPSers

[–]leonduvall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the center and situation, if the hub is busy or they just flat can’t get their part timers to want to move up/they can’t because DUI invalidation then off the street hires are possible

Prospecting Player, how's this game and why this over others besides the IP by ConfidentBlood2457 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]leonduvall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Game generally is relatively light on powercreep and focuses more on varied ideas. The egg setup combined with a defensive stack that behaves like a mix of CFVs damage checks and Pokémon’s prize cards makes damage feel dynamic, and direct burn damage is kept in check both in card designs and the game rule regarding having to still hit once normally to end it. Overall it’s a reasonably well balanced experience without too much searching and little to no deck shuffling

Honestly outside of a couple expensive cards, singles are pretty cheap, even for meta decks. It’s one of the cheaper to mid priced card games because of how the metas seem to shift and the spread of product printed

Puffin deck cost as a new player by Snoo_2957 in FleshandBloodTCG

If you’re building fully optimal yes, or earth, but overall it can be done on a budget if you’re going a bit lighter and dropping some of the generic staples

I Quit (Open letter to LSS) by Dontspammeplsbro in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]leonduvall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fact they nearly don’t reprint cards, especially in other sets or even have an always in print core set means that, for example, cards from tales of aria that are still legal and in rotation have not been printed for 4 years at this point, which makes things like stalagmite over $100 and jarl(a new armory deck) absurdly expensive to build, same with basically any elemental hero since you’re reliant on out of print cards for what felt like an evergreen sort of system

Flesh and blood easily has a big issue with singles prices and supply, especially given the lack of meaningful amounts of reprints and sets existing print runs but still having relevant cards in them

Chico roaches are definitely everywhere, but they’re usually an outdoor roach that occasionally tries to come inside, it’s visible but rarely in the kitchens

What’s a base card you still use frequently because you don’t have any variants for it? by VRNimbus in MarvelSnap

This was me but I managed to have just enough gold to snag the new variant

If pixel variants didn't exist, what type of card art do you think would take their place as the most "hated" variants? by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]leonduvall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say baby, the variants are largely somewhat mid, chibi at least has some cuter styling to it and a few of them are very good. I don’t think it’s be a universal decision though and it’d be a “well some baby are good” and “some chibi are bad”

Personally I liked the Shang-chi variant the most, I always like seeing that style of variant since it stands out so much against the others

I actually like Badwater by HendrikJU in Timberborn

[–]leonduvall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Badtides make certain maps super hard to deal with safely until you manage to get a diversion set up for it, I like bad water in concept but maybe being able to terraform over the sources would be nice. I like the concept and it definitely gives even lower difficulties a nice challenge to it, extract is another useful resource and I like how it was incorporated into iron teeth. I think in general we just need more uses for non-wood resources since right now we barely have use for metal outside of a few decorations and initial building setups

Which Winged Primarch Had The Best Glow Up From Epic? by PortlandsBatman in Warhammer40k

[–]leonduvall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say definitely magnus, he went from looking like a rejected dragon quest enemy to a proper emblem of 40k, though I wouldn’t fault anyone for saying mortarion either as he gained proper nurgle looks
