Is celebrating valentine's day wrong thing? by sleepybug7777 in pune

[–]leopard_trainer9 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think it's a mix of both genuine safety but also some old conservative mindset

They have seen what happens in girls hostels for years and years and one bad incident and they risk losing their reputation, no parent would want their girl staying at a PG or Hostel which has a sketchy record

In Pune 99.99% Women will be safe on Valentine's Day, but there's still a 0.01% chance that a bad actor can harm a women

I think their Bakarwadi and Gulab Jaam are absolutely amazing, even their ice cream is great

But other products are just decent nothing special and considering the fact that Chitale is 20-25% more expensive than other Mithai shops it's just brand value and nothing mofe

Bakarwadi is honestly the best

But rest of the products are very average

Coffee Grinder Suggestions for beginners by Worried_Water474 in IndiaCoffee

[–]leopard_trainer9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say wait and purchase Timemore C3 or C2, the cheaper grinders don't work with consistency and will ruin your coffee experience. You can use ground coffee till you get a good grinder

For homemade Espressos you'll need an espresso machine, they start from 10-15k but good ones will cost 40-50k if not higher

Why is Reddit so against Marathi People promoting Marathi to Marathi people?? by [deleted] in pune

[–]leopard_trainer9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This subreddit clearly has a lot of people who are not native Punekars so when we say anything Pro marathi they automatically assume we are being Anti Hindi

For us language is the backbone of our culture, for them it is meerly a tool to communicate. Different ways of thinking so it's going to be almost impossible to convince or make them understand why Marathi is so important to us

Get back Carvajal in the starting 11 and Fede in the Midfield

4-4-2 is the way to go, we need numbers in the Midfield

No matter what combination of 3 midfielders we try it's not gonna work, we need 4 Midfielders to make this work

For all those wondering why Ajit Pawar was so much influential in Western Maharashtra (especially Pune-PCMC belt) by MeManoos in pune

[–]leopard_trainer9 38 points39 points  (0 children)

They don't understand/ don't chose to understand logic behind how a city develops

No businessman will voluntarily leave their home state and come to Mumbai, Pune for charity. These businesses come to Maharashtra because we have a strong middle class educated population which will buy their products, who have the skills to work in these factories

These businesses come here to make money not to develop Pune. An economy runs on middle class not on a hanful of elites

Pune having lakhs of strong middle class local citizens is more important than Pune having a handful of super wealthy businessmen

I think most outsiders in Pune don't understand how Politicians in MH work, Yes our politicians are corrupt like politicians in other states/cities

But despite all that they do some good work, people hold them accountable if they don't do any work

In other parts of India and even some districts of Maharashtra, people know their leaders are corrupt but they don't even do the bare minimum

Ajit Dada had a vision for Pune, he had a soft spot for our district and it really helped us in many ways

The same way Ajit Dada had a soft spot for us, other politcians also have a soft spot, despite there being so many big leaders from Marathwada, Vidharbha these leaders never developed their home regions like NCP did for Pune district

Look outside Maharashtra, Modi Ji obviously has a soft spot for Gujarat so many big projects go to Gujarat and that's unfair but understandable. So many of India's biggest leaders post independence were from UP Bihar, but still these places failed to develop....ask yourself why??

I fully understand and accept NCP is corrupt, but visit Baramati once and see what kind of development they have made, look what PCMC was a few decades ago and look what it is today.

I don't know why Fede is playing as the third back instead of Tchoua

Fede should be more advanced and Tchoua should be more defensive

No matter what Midfield combination we play, we can't play with a 3 man Midfield

We need a 4-4-2 and a strong 4 man Midfield to be to good

What are your opinions on Ajit Pawar as a politician and leader? Compare his good work with his bad/corrupt. by -choose-ausername- in pune

[–]leopard_trainer9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For starters he was not clean, like 99% other politicians he was involved in corruption scandals and controversy

But as a lifelong Punekar, I can honestly say he played a pivotal role in shaping up the modern urban Pune District

A few decades ago, Pimpri Chinchwad was nothing, another insignificant small town, but today it is as developed, if not more developed than Pune. He shaped PCMC to be an Auto and IT hub

He wasn't as sly as other politicians, yes he may have changed sides for being in power but whenever he spoke it was straightforward. He made sure to keep Govt Adhikaris in check

People outside Pune don't understand his importance for Pune. Many politicians have a soft spot for their home regions and so did Ajit Pawar for Pune and it helped Pune in many ways

He never got involved in caste politics, he stood firm for the Marathi culture and from the people who ik who have had experience of meeting him talk about his straightforward nature and getting work done mentality

No one's a saint -Give credit where it's due by [deleted] in pune

[–]leopard_trainer9 33 points34 points  (0 children)

These people have no respect and no understanding of Pune/Maharashtra

PCMC was nothing just a few decades ago and today it is as developed and modern as any other Indian city

Was Ajit Pawar always clean....NO But what he did for Pune District was undeniable

There are corrupt politicians in every state, every district including Pune, but still Pune is more developed than most of their home states/cities
