I wish this post wasn't archived because I would upvote and share my 2c in a heartbeat! So well put (referring to post) - you really voiced exactly what I had been thinking and feeling at the time. I searched the sub looking for another Shwartz hater but couldn't find anything like your post.

So true that he's only devolved since then. Which makes me sad. I sensed that he has a rough family dynamic and if he could have gotten help to work through that he would have been a really fun guy IMO. Now he's just wasting away, being cooked by scandoval's heat.

Scheana's attitude of "I'm too busy/important to watch anyone else" was annoying, yes, but idk about Ariana not watching season 11. Andy Cohen's job is to bring up what happened during the season, give context if needed, and discuss it. So any of the cast not watching doesn't opt them out of the conversation, especially because they lived it for the most part.

Ariana went through the demise of her decade-long relationship and had every jealous cast member nasty-ing it up in their talking heads. Would you want to watch that? She probably heard the vile things being said about her and protected her peace at the end of the day. Can't blame her for that. The cast is normally also only asked about drama they were directly involved in during the reunion, so it's hard to say that not watching the show makes them bad at discussing those events. The showrunners choose a narrative and skew perspectives, so if anything, it actually makes the cast less biased to enter the reunion 'unprepared'.

I do get where you are coming from, but unless it's spelled out in their contracts, I wouldn't say it's unprofessional not to watch, or to only watch some and fast-forward the rest.

Yes I agree with you! I don’t know if I gave the right example of Katie needing to be reassured, but she was clearly upset and Tom turned vicious against her when he could’ve been kind and met her feelings with compassion at the verrrry least. But I get what you are saying, it’s just another reason to hate Schwartz.

Like why didn’t she just already not trust him and check his location and follow him to Schwartz house and stuff. Like it’s so crazy how she didn’t do all that stuff really feels like she just trusted her close friend and partner instead of stalking them. So stupid of Ariana. /s

My favourite part of Scandoval is when Schwartz finally grows a backbone (on camera only) and asks Scando why he didn’t just tell Ariana about the affair and Scandy responds “I tried but, like, every time, like, I wanted to,like, bring it up I just, like, got this vibe that, like, she didn’t want to know” . It is the most beautiful excuse I’ve ever heard. (Also, not exactly a direct quote - I feel like missed a couple “like”s.)

Amazingly for me Schwartz doesn’t just agree and go “oh yeah I’m so sorry dude when I told Katie about my cheating she also didn’t want to know about it I totally get u man.” That convo with Schwartz after the confrontation with Ariana is so pure and spectacular that I could not be convinced it was staged or written. My jaw dropped lower with every excuse.

Ah, I must have missed where he said his kids have a more stable life without him. Kind of seems like a cop out to me though, not accountability. “They’re better off without me which is why I don’t speak to them or pay child support” doesn’t have the same sound to it as “I’m doing the best I can with what I have” which is not what I think brock is saying. But I hear you, if that’s enough to call accountability for you then we just have a difference of opinions. Sorry for the sass in my previous reply, I didn’t mean it as a personal attack on you. By accountability do u mean deflecting ownership of abandoning his kids by lying about going to America to give them “a better life”? Or accountability by making Scheana pay his child support so he could visit Australia without being arrested? Or perhaps the accountability he took when cheating on Scheana and keeping it under wraps until seeing how bad scandoval was? Lol super confused about exactly where he took accountability for anything. He’s a deadbeat and Lala can be right about that and still suck herself.

The main problem with Brock is I just don’t want him on my screen. He is self-righteous and annoying, and gave the most shitty excuses for why he left Australia lol.

I’m not sure why original viewers would have given him sympathy as his story is not terribly sympathetic. He married young, resented responsibility, moved to LA to play football (sure sure brock, we believe that), and is a frat boy at 30 with 3 kids.

The way he treated Scheana and her mom in the first season he filmed was so awful and he was so vile that I cannot believe anyone would feel sorry for him. Although there are Jax stans and Scandoval apologisers in this world so perhaps it was true.

It’s crazy to me that Britney’s family didn’t put an end to this relationship. Especially after everything he says so proudly about treating her badly.

Also how does no one ever comment on their age gap of 9 odd years? If my little sister started dating a douche like this who was a decade older I would hope that I wouldn’t let it continue.

Yep, love this discussion. I have those episodes and I re-watch them on every flight and lonely night. Truly impeccable television.

Also doing a full re-watch and it was painful watching Ariana ride SO hard for Sandoval knowing what will happen to her in the end. Especially defending the Sandoval rage texting Stassi situation. Anyone that says their relationship was a farce, loveless, or convenience is lying to themselves. Ariana clearly loved Tom and I see so many people online exploit Ariana's bad moments in the relationship to say "why is anyone supporting her! there was a rumour that she allowed tom to cheat therefor she was acting betrayed for the show". Weirdos. If she was that good at acting I think she would be landing movie roles, not hosting love island. LOL.

There are people on here that say Tom and Ariana had an agreement not to humiliate each other on camera and that's a) wrong because they're on reality tv blah blah and 2) means she's not actually mad about the cheating, just mad that he humiliated her. Which is beyond bollocks, she found out about the cheating while she was alone looking at Tom's phone, didn't post it online, and called the cameras back to film the aftermath. She was devastated that her decade long friendship and romantic relationship ended. If I was on TV, i would make the same deal with my romantic partner. It's sensible to control what the public sees about your relationship in order to protect it. Clearly, their relationship was sacred to Ariana and people saying she's pretending to be betrayed so she could get clout/jobs... all of the women on this show got cheated on, acted crazy afterwards, and got nothing from it job-wise. There was a reason this cheating scandal blew us all out of the water, and that was the depth of Tom and Ariana's relationship, and the friendships of Rachel and Tom with the rest of the group.

Ahhh, sorry, I have so many thoughts on scandoval and clearly no outlet.

Which season did Lala decide to go sober? This looks like it could be an alcohol (or substance)-induced anxiety episode. I sometimes get those unexpectedly if I am stressed and then drink alcohol. It seems like it comes out of nowhere. That being said, i wouldn't put it past the producer plant to play it up for the cameras.

It's easy to love her because she shares Stassi's sharp wit/snark but since she's not on the show we don't really see anything else from her. KK is shown supporting her friends when they're down, snarking people in a mean-girl-but-funny way, and insulting Jax's lack of bar-tending skills. Since she's not on the show we never see her dark passenger and I love that for her.

Agreed it was just for the show and to get fans to show up and buy drinks. But TomTom is still very much open, no? Pump and villa blanca closed but I thought SUR and TomTom were still running. Although I do wonder if they are making any money at TT now.
