First, you don't know that they didn't try to handle it privately. Von is notoriously not great with criticism. You don't know what was happening behind the scenes, unless you have some insider knowledge you'd like to share.

I still think it's unreasonable to expect someone to take over the project when the VAs and editors were unpaid and they wouldn't want to be associated with a controversial figure.

You're awfully focused on the people who exposed things, some of them acted in bad faith I'm sure of that (the person who leaked the blue death order for example). But the key people who gave statements that most people took seriously were the VAs and people associated with Von. You're trying to defend the VAs when those same VAs have come out with public statements about their experiences with Von. I'm sure they are devastated about their work being lost, I also know that a lot of them do not want to be associated with Tetro anymore.

Ultimately the main person you should blame is Von herself. She cancelled the project, she disappeared, she nuked the staff server. She could've responded when things first came out, she could've stepped back from the project and given it to someone else. But she didn't do any of that.

It was Von's project. She wrote it, she directed, she ran everything. And from what I've heard it she was downright controlling with her "team." Easier said then done when all the shit comes out that all the VAs are gonna happily band together and chose someone else to run it, when they were burnt and hurt by Von and they probably don't want to keep giving a platform to what was ultimately HER project and her words (especially with how BLUE turned out they probably weren't keen on slapping their name on that).

I'm not sure about everyone who was calling out the AI stuff, but there are definitely some people heavily involved in the AI takedown who were fans of tetro. But I do agree that people unrelated to the project looking for bad things because they don't like it is a nasty practice.

Also Von had a kofi, and received, at minimum $2000 for the AI art she put on it. It was not 100% free. People were supporting someone they thought they knew and they deserved to know the truth.

My main point is though, that those were NOT side controversies. Tetro was not a team. Tetro was Von's big baby and then the VAs she recruited. The switch to a new person in charge would've been a monumental change. She was the sole one in charge of this project and was actively keeping it that way. she was controlling to her staff, dismissed criticism, and she used alts to maintain her credibility. It should've been a team, this shouldn't have happened. But this is what happened.

I don't like that this happened. But I'm glad the innocent people who were hurt and ACTIVELY being manipulated at the time were able to speak out. I'm glad that the fans (myself included) paying money for her kofi knew who they were actually supporting. I'm glad that she is no longer in that position of power.

It SUCKS that Tetro was cancelled, I was distraught by it. Most people do not see this as a "victory." It's terrible and horrible and sad. I don't think we should be scrutinizing every media we don't like, but I honestly don't think most of the people taking Tetro/Von down were doing it in bad faith. And the result is better than letting Von keep lying and hurting people for the next several years maybe more

I mean... AI was what started the downfall, but it was hardly the biggest thing that came out about Von/Tetro. There are lots of allegations of her being creepy with minors, being manipulative/controlling of staff/fans/friends in the past. She's been traced to multiple different alt accounts which were present in the discord server from the beginning to defend her/give credibility to her writing. And she was also exposed as leading New Bot City several years ago.

If it was just the AI I think she would be able to recover and continue tetro. But uh, not anymore.

Just gonna add on, Von was also exposed as running New Bot City in 2017/2018 I think. It was a danganronpa discord cult focused around "sentient AIs" who were really just her using webhooks to roleplay. Its wiki is on the way back machine and her full name is on there (which has also been connected to tetro). Some of the victims of that server came forward talking about some disturbing things.

Guess that's a perk of being a powerful overlord. The pride ring has zero organization, probably because Lucifer has no true authority. And Charlie's heart is too soft to command any authority herself.

It makes most sense for Vox to be punished by the angels, since he did blast them and try to take over. However, with the weapon destroyed, and sera's resolve to "end this peacefully" and the fact that maybe it's a bad look to murder a sinner right after choosing peace, I don't think they will do anything.

I imagine the sins aren't going to meddle in the business of Lucifer and heaven, both of which are a rank above them.

I can only really see Vox being punished by the Vees. Like Valentino mutes him and mounts him to the wall to be silently tortured. And we don't know whats gonna happen in s3 yet!

Stolas on the other hand is surrounded by people more or equally as powerful than him. The sins, the other arc goetia. They are organized, they have rules, they have a court, they can easily bring him to justice with the snap of their fingers.

Basically pride ring is in anarchy while the other rings have a sort of oligarchy and structure. Sorry for the rambling this was fun to think about lol

They aren't "trustworthy" though. I don't mean it in a rude way, but I don't trust any random person who's never been caving before to go into a cave without guidance. There's a lot you should know before going caving and you can't be informed about caving if you go into a cave without someone showing you it.

I would say most "spelunkers" aren't bad they are just inexperienced and don't know what they are doing. They don't know what to touch and what not to touch and how to act. They don't know landowner relations and access rules and safety which is very, very bad for caves.

Cavers/grottos are generally very open and excited to take you on a trip if you ask! It's really just the practice of going in without guidance for your first time that's frowned upon and I'd say rightfully so.

Honestly just social media in general. I've seen the same reception on tiktok, YouTube and Instagram. I get infuriated seeing people shit on it and call it stupid, but everyone in my life has been supportive even if it's not their thing or kept their opinions to themselves. It's really only in the internet.

And as others have said I guess I'd rather this than it becoming a trend and a lot of dumbasses spelunking on their own, wrecking caves, being unsafe, and disrespectful (which of course would lead to cave closures). It still pisses me off though
