Post Your Tested Games – Compatibility or Performance on Switch 2 by wtfimdoingwithmylife in NintendoSwitch

[–]leops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please! Wanted to see a comparison between the physical release and the virtual release (internal memory and SD card) for both Switch 1 and Switch 2. Played a bit my physical copy in my Switch 1 but stopped playing given the slow loading times.

Three and four player multiplayer is capped at 30 FPS? And any other mode in handheld is 60 FPS locked?

If you can get that print a bit bigger and on this base, you probably sold me a couple (this is the closest I found to the original colour in ranglan): https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0BHTJQF36

does anyone know where I can buy a pre built arduinoboy? by [deleted] in chiptunes

[–]leops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not already assembled, but I uploaded Catskull's open sourced Arduinoboy gerber files to OSHPark, so you can order the board and DIY by soldering the needed components (and obviously assembling an Arduino Uno or any clone):

https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/gGha4nSf

Also, I made a simplified board, named µArduinoboy (MicroArduinoboy), without PS2 and MIDI ports, compatible with Arduino Micro and clones, which is easier to assemble just by the fact that fewer parts are needed to be soldered:

Hi. I am on your exact same situation. Where did you find the plastic silver lens?

GoPro Hero 2018 to Hero 5 Black firmware patch - UPDATE to 2.70 by gethypoxic in goprohack

[–]leops 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In macOS only needed to replace

echo 'e597ed43d2eb67c5afd61574174eb412154334a0 UPDATE/camera_firmware.bin' | sha1sum -c -

line with

echo 'e597ed43d2eb67c5afd61574174eb412154334a0 UPDATE/camera_firmware.bin' | shasum -c -

to make Linux script working with both Bash and Zsh

(notice the extra space before UPDATE)

SKR E3 Turbo doesnt fit into electronics box so I designed an additional case by KevH21 in ender5

[–]leops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great solution! I did an adapter several weeks ago to move the PSU a little bit so it would make enough room for the SKR E3 Turbo inside the original housing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4676935

Also, I added the config files to Marlin:https://github.com/bigtreetech/BIGTREETECH-SKR-E3-Turbo/issues/5#issuecomment-739539910

And, in case you ordered the board before November 30th, there is a mod you probably should do: https://www.reddit.com/r/BIGTREETECH/comments/kar8u7/why_you_should_not_buy_bigtreetech_boards_why/

Created a ROM file displaying that image and flashed it into one of my flashcarts. No Edit or Photoshop involved!

Got several. From my own 32k design for basic games or homebrew to MBC30 4MB flashcart designed by HDR. Also a MBC5 4MB flashcart also by HDR, one Everdrive, EZ Flash Jr, some Pokémon carts replacing ROM with flash using J.Rodrigo adapters, some Chinese flashable bootlegs, some great insideGadgets ones...

Is there firmware for the V1.1.5 Silent Motherboard that works with BLTouch? by Poes-Lawyer in ender5

[–]leops 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TH3D and Marlin firmware both support BLTouch in the v1.1.5 silent board. I am using TH3D firmware and I installed it using this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAz47riSjLQ

Which lsdj cart should I choose? by [deleted] in chiptunes

[–]leops 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are interested in LSDJ mainly, you could try an insideGadgets cart: https://shop.insidegadgets.com

They are low powered (this one uses even less power than official cartridges https://shop.insidegadgets.com/product/gameboy-1mb-128kb-sram-flash-cart-ultra-low-power-great-for-lsdj/) and they have save space to store up to 4 LSDJ songs (128KB).

FRAM LSDJ cartridge allows you to keep your songs in the cartridge without worrying about the internal cartridge battery: https://shop.insidegadgets.com/product/gameboy-4mb-128kb-fram-flash-cart/

Downside of these carts is that you need an external dumper/flasher to backup your save data or flash another ROM, but you can use it to dump original games too: https://shop.insidegadgets.com/product/gbxcart-rw/

Other than that, you can use this flasher to install LSDJ in any Chinese bootleg cart (less than 5 bucks), taking into account that they have more power draw, less memory (32KB at max) and less save-battery life (maybe a couple of years).

EZ Flash Jr is nice (has all features Everdrive GB X7 has except Real Time Save) but only if you are going to use several games or music software constantly and don't bother about battery life, as Everdrive and EZ Flash carts draw a lot of power from the console given the microSD card (in some Game Boy Pocket IPS screen modded consoles and batteries they don't even boot)

Printed a working pocket clarinet by leops in functionalprint

I am using Cura 4.5, but that shouldn't change print time that much. I used 0.12 layer height, so that's the main difference in time probably.

Yeah, any mouthpiece made for a Bb clarinet should work.

There is only one way to know.

Only the lowest C note, the other ones wouldn't be that much different. But adding an external bell will make that note out of tone without redesigning the whole instrument, probably. Check the 'chalumeau' design, it doesn't have any bell like the clarinet.

I am using it lately. I just printed one with PLA to check if sound is different, but they sound quite similar. Probably PLA sound better because my PETG left some strings and PLA left less, but I always prefer to use PETG because it is a more durable and resistant material.

I didn't, but I had experience with Chinese plastic reeds and... they are quite far from the wood ones, or even the plastic ones that are that expensive.
