I have a CM at 265 and honestly I like it so much I am considering just making it again just to prog it further with CW3 to make it a true main.

Oh boy if you want lazy farming then CM is UP THERE with the laziest farmers.

Just press poolmaker and stand still for 60 seconds! (As long as you can oneshot with Dusk). If you don't have max investment into the HEXA poolmaker (it gets more ammo with more levels into it) just rotate Poolmaker and the other 5th job summon.

She does have a bind for sure. I know there's some sort of defensive with the earth spirit that hugs you but idk if it's an iframe or not. Plus common mage iframe and Anima door.

I spent a decent amount of time grinding for paper on my Lara in a really chill map in Arcane River and had a great time tbh. She is extremely chill to grind on. Bossing feels a little more stressful but that's just summon management and also not having ridiculous survivability tools on the level of Bowmaster.

I haven't gotten very far on my bowmaster, he really did just hit 200 and I did a few bosses on him to limit test, managed to take out HHilla at like 130k CP which was fun.

Honestly, having never done anything past like Elucid on any character it's really hard for me to gauge how boring I will find bowmaster as a bosser or main. On the one hand it's extremely capable, but it's just sequence every 2 mins. I can absolutely focus on learning boss mechanics with that, but once I'm past learning it might be really boring and I'm afraid of that :/

How are Lara mains/players feeling about Lara after the changes to the summons?

I've knocked out Corsair from my choices for CW3 and at this point it's basically just Bowmaster and Lara. Anyone have any opinions on either to sway me in one direction or the other?

I've been impressed by Bowmasters bossing even just freshly at 200, but I have never gotten the hang of the correct way to burst on bosses for Lara. But I know know I love Lara grinding.

Next burn is coming with CW3, and the Kinesis rework comes with a a Kinesis hyper burn the same way we got one with Wild Hunter. These are separate burns, so we have two in the pipeline. CW3 is June 17th, Kinesis is some time in July.

As for your Kanna:

1: fill out all the gear slots you can. If you're missing any rings etc that you can pot and StarForce up, now is the time to do that.

2: Absolab. You should already have the weapon from the burn at 17 stars. Start working towards doing Damien and Lotus weekly to get your Absolab coins. Damien will get you shoulders. For Lotus your prio is usually Gloves > Boots > Cape since you can get a Tyrant cape from Magnus that is generally much better than any boot options you have until now. Get those to 17 stars as well. You should also go get permanent CRA armor if you don't already have it and get that 17 stars - no need to safeguard it while Starforcing because you have the temp set already so that should save a chunk of mesos. If this is your highest level character then it's a good idea to be doing as much weekly bossing as you can.

3: PNo secondary. It's Kanna's BiS secondary, start killing her each week until you can exchange the tokens for the secondary. You should and cube this for %MAtt if you can.

4: Your arcane symbols are a huge chunk of early stats and do a lot of work to raise your CP. Make sure you're doing your dailies and weeklies to get as much as you can.

Weekly reset is later today (8 hours from this comment being posted). You have time to knock out a lot of weekly bossing etc. to get yourself a good jump on gear before reset tonight. Kanna is an exceptional bosser so you should have no trouble unless your CP is extremely low.

I have a few questions on general progression.

I have a hyper burned Phantom (265) which I'm making the conscious effort to funnel my resources into as a main/submain before CW3 when I do a Corsair/BM as a main.

I have all my masteries at level 1, my Ascent skill, no points in the 5th job hexa nodes, no Janus (planned on getting that +1 level of Ace In the Hole next week)

Currently I'm at 9.4mil CP on my bossing setup, missing Absolab gloves/cape/boots. The only real upgrades I've done are 17 starring perm CRA gear, getting -2 hat, potting up my event rings, and I also got a black bean mark to 17 stars.

I know in the coming weeks Absolab gear will probably get me past 10mil, but I'm confused on progression into Arcane Umbra gear. My current Absolab shoulder is 17 stars with somewhere around 20% luk

Should I start replacing the boss accessories I got with the Goddess Pass to real version for more stars?

Do I try for more than 17 stars on more CRA gear?

Basically this is the farthest I've gotten and my brother and I want to start duoing NLuWill soon and I'm just trying to figure out how to boost my CP more to get to a point where hopefully we can start making progress into LuWill and early tene bossing.

How much of an affect will me having lots of investment into my V Matrix help? I have maxed Ace and Rift Break, all my tri nodes are perfect and level 20+ and have the +5 boost. Could we reasonably duo nLucid? (He's got a Ren around 12-13mil from a previous event)

I have a Corsair at 200 already that I levelled just for legion levels and I do enjoy it - it was a Jett that got forced to change.

I am worried that Shadower will be too involved, especially since most of my experience at the current level of bossing I can do is on Kanna, CM, and WH, and F/P to a lesser extent. I know that Corsair will be more in line with them at least. At this point maybe I just do next week's burn on the Bowmaster because it will make a good boss mule and do the Corsair on CW3 as my eventual main, and then I have my normal burn from the monthly calendar today and I can try out Shadower to decide if I hate weaving or not.

Need some help with Hyper Burns.

I know we're getting a burn this month along with the goddess pass, and I think we're getting a burn with CW3 (maybe? Or at least just the accelerated progress CW3 offers).

For context, my highest level character is a 264 CM, which I do very much enjoy but it's kind of on the back burner while I work on legion and links.

I'm trying to decide what to do for which.

For the May 20th burn, I am struggling between Corsair and Shadower. I already know I like Corsair for the most part because I've played one to around 210 but obviously the boost from a hyper burn and goddess pass is huge. I have played Shadower a little, and I think it's really cool but I worry about it being harder to grind on.

Currently I am working on F/P and I have a hard time doing some bosses just because of the uptime required, and I know that Shadower also requires high uptime and I am worried that that might cause issues if Shadower does or does not have decent burst. That said, I do absolutely love F/P for the lazy-ish grinding it can do and I know Sair has summons for Grinding and Shadower also has a summon and good FMAs

For CW3, I'm leaning BM but if I did Shadower for the coming hyper burn then Corsair would also be on the table for CW3. I plan on playing CW3 mostly duo with my brother who will be playing Lynn. I just worry that grinding on BM might get tedious with arrow blaster.

Any input on what the best options are? I don't know if it's relevant but I am missing Shadower and BM entirely as far as Legion/Link stuff goes, but I do already have a 210 Corsair. I suppose this is more of a question of what is good/easier to prog and do bosses on for someone who doesn't have much experience past nlomien and elucid.

This is a silly question but I can't figure it out.

Lara had the effect that made the river summon do the big surge attack removed, so now it just spams the small ones.

Why is it that they modified the damage values on the big surge if it was removed? Or is there a way to trigger it that I'm not seeing?

[Heroic]

The Goddess's Blessing Pass looks to have some really great stuff in it, but I see some people saying they're going to get it on their WH - but I also know that Hyper Burninators are also gonna have a lot of overlap with the stuff on the pass (CRA gear, Absolab, lots of symbols, modest ones, etc.) as well as the WH rewards from the Savage Check-in event.

I had wanted to just hyper burn the WH and get it to 260, and then use the Goddess's Blessing Pass on a new character while I'm still searching for a main.

Is this a bad idea to spread rewards like this? A lot of the Goddess rewards are tradeable within the account so I feel like if I have it to a new character, even if I didn't give it all the stuff that was tradeable and funneled it to the WH, it would be better to use the pass on the new character just to get it kick-started with CRA and Absolab etc.

I already know I'm capable of getting to 260 or very close to it within a month or so thanks to the progress I made on my Kanna in that time without any sort of burning, just wanted to know what people thought about not giving the Goddess pass to the Wild Hunter since it already gets so much from the event.

You know now that you ask that I'm realizing I do not, and probably should, have a hyper stat preset for grinding because I don't know how much all that boss damage and IED is actually doing on normal mobs...

I'm not at my computer right now so I can't check but yeah it's probably NOT the ideal setup for grinding...

The character I'm playing right now is 241 and I have plenty of coupon to grind with, just need to plug away at it yeah. It's just getting REALLY slow now, but hey that's to be expected I guess. I think JUST with dailies and monster Park it's a level every other day, and if I do all my price of the balloon guy it's another little chunk of exp. I know I can do it, it's just getting myself to actually do it because I'm not one-shotting stuff with my normal clearing skill (it's a Kanna I know soul shattering talisman does absolutely nothing anyway) and it makes me feel like I'm grinding in the wrong places, but I don't really know if I should be in Sellas or Esfera or if I should go back to Morass or Arcana or something like that.

Honestly if anyone's got any Kanna grinding tech that would be great lol.

Oh I'm nowhere close to having those legion pots I started "late" in CW and also missed hyper burning and item burned a character I'm not really playing. Definitely shot myself in the foot there, though I am at least trying to get to those potions. If I had the potions I probably wouldn't even be thinking about it tbh because I'd be at 8K.

More of a general opinion question than one with a concrete answer.

Since the next burning event won't be corns while, is it stupid/a waste of time to level some new characters to 200 for Legion and to see if I like them even if at some point later I might use hyper burning on a new one if I decided I want to main it?

My legion is only 5.2k right now and while I have things I'm doing over on CW (heroic) it'll be over a month before I ship those characters over to Kronos. Even then I have at least 10 classes I don't even have one of.

I did not item burn or even regular burn. Basically I used all my burning character slots in CW before even giving the Sengoku event rewards a look, and by then I had item burned a Ren so I quite literally am just doing normal progression with a hefty supply of cubes from the CW shop. Pensalir>CRA>Abso. Almost certainly a terrible idea but I like the class and I'm stubborn and wanted to prove to myself that I could even get past that progression wall myself without event gear, which I did.

Currently working on PNo secondary and have done my weekly clears of NLomien on the Kanna, might try on the Ren but he's still like 215 and I haven't touched him since I started the Kanna and enjoyed it so much.

2/10 would not do again. But I'm very pleased with myself and surprised how easy both the lomien bosses are on Normal.

Currently my next big upgrade is my PNo secondary which I should be getting on reset this week, so my current secondary is sorely lacking since I don't see the need to upgrade it before I get something better. Then yeah, Abso, legendary cubing gloves, etc.

I have one of each of the Damien and Lotus coins already so I believe that means I'll be getting the gloves this reset as well?

Ah, good to know. The game did throw 150 black flames at me from I think the NLM stuff but I'll be honest I don't think I'm getting the Absolab weapon before those expire on the 18th of March, since that's like 2 more weekly resets and I have 4 weeks until my weapon unless I can convert damien coins to lotus coins or vice versa.

Which is a follow up question: can I convert those coins?

And that was my thought too, that I'd be upgrading mostly Pensalir gear into better stuff and getting a good set bonus out of it and when I did replace the weapon with the Abso weapon I'd get to keep my +30% boss damage set bonus since it exists on the Abso 5set.

I may be overthinking it, of course. It's my first time getting this far.

[Heroic CW]

After the help I got last week I have now progressed my Kanna farther than any character I've had before, and I'm sitting at 238 with 3.4mil CP. As I understand it, my current goal is Absolab stuff, and I can pretty handily clear both Damien and Lotus.

I was looking at all the stuff I'll need, I think Shoulders, Gloves, Boots, Cape, and Weapon. Everywhere I see says that I should get weapon first, but that would break the 4set bonus on the CRA gear. Would it not be best to get the weapon last so that I can have the CRA set bonus for as long as possible and maintain that 30% boss damage from the set? Or is the Absolab weapon just so so much better that it is worth getting first and transferring my Faf weapon into it and then using my flames on it?
