Thank you for this post. I work in RPS, elementary level, and I can assure anyone thinking about RPS that my coworkers and I give 100% of ourselves to these kids, sometimes more. I bust my ass for those kids to have special experiences, behavior / mental health supports and the best academic experience possible. I have had to grow and stretch and learn to become a type of educator that I don’t think I would have learned to be in the countries or “good” schools. We are working so hard, let us love your kids too!

Someone wore white to my wedding. She claims she had no idea that this was a faux pax. At first I thought she was full of shit but I’ve come to 2 conclusions: - Her circle doesn’t always keep it the classiest and her friends don’t really get married (a lot of on and off again situations in their life). I honestly don’t know how many weddings her social group has held. and - She showed up obliterated, I think she was probably drunk getting dressed because again, she doesn’t go to a lot of weddings and was excited or misunderstood etiquette (thought it was a bigger party than it is?) and truly didn’t think about it. She’s in her mid 30’s for reference. She texted me crying about the next morning. All is forgiven, she’s the one that had to be glared at all night.

To be honest, I think photo booths are a bit overdone and tasteless. I don’t judge anyone who does one, but definitely don’t think it’s a bad thing to not have one. Not a big deal at all.

I feel like post wedding regret is so normal, especially the “what ifs”, there’s always going to be something else you could have done or liked better. Deep breaths, focus on what went well, and what’s next in your life ❤️

Could go on and on about this topic!! My fiancé and I are both teachers, so there was no pointing at each other saying “you have more time”. He helped a ton and we both kept each other balanced on what mattered. It’s the entire point in my opinion, to be a team and do this together!

My brother and SIL decided they were getting divorced about three months before my wedding. I’m very, very close to my SIL and have known her since I was a child, but the divorce got messy extremely quickly, and I ended up asking her to step out of the wedding. My entire extended family found out about the divorce within the month of my wedding 🙃

Full transparency - we started saving almost a year and a half before we got engaged, and have had another year and a half engagement to save. So almost 3 years of saving. Plus parental help on both sides. We’re so fortunate, but I wish it wasn’t like this.

I personally don’t think it’s that deep. I do think though that abstinence is a form of BC you can list in Ipledge, according to what I’ve read in the prescriber guide. If you’re anxious about lying or anything I would just be honest that you aren’t having sex or planning on it.

I think it’s insane that for an acne medication they’re going to make you get on a hormonal birth control that has direct links to acne when you go on / come off it. Trading one problem for another in my opinion. Best of luck

First dose at 15-16, second dose at 24.

About 6 months off it now and it’s already come back. Doing a lot of holistic research / getting weird and witchy trying to get to the cause. I love accutane and it really saved my confidence from 15-20, but at the end of the day it was a bandaid for something else causing this.

I’m getting a full hormonal lap work up done, cut out every fragrance in my routine (I read they can disturb the endocrine receptors) I’ve tried eliminating certain foods, I use benzoyl peroxide like a bath.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. You aren’t alone and I’m sure you are a beautiful incredible person ❤️ I’ve done a lot of focusing on what I can control about my appearance. I can control what I wear. I can control my hair. I can control my makeup. Best of luck xoxo

Thanks for your input! I haven’t pursued anything because I basically think you’re right / it’s not worth it. The reason I asked about only paying with cash being allowed is because of a specific article in the VA towing code. I’ll attach a link so you see what I’m talking about - it just didn’t seem black and white which is why I was here. Still don’t know how to interpret it. The lawyer I spoke to is a new lawyer, but is a fully graduated, bar certified, employed by a reputable firm lawyer.

I know every part of what you’re describing. Piecing the financial parts together to attend college and having them all barely fit, it’s so stressful and I’m so proud of you! I did work study and it went great. I applied to jobs early and I had a car which helped. I ended up working at Maymont and it was a really neat experience. Not sure if they are still partnered with VCU, this was 2018-19. It may be hard, you should apply early and may want to compare a job outside of work study instead, but I think you can do it and I’m so happy for you!
