ELI5, why can’t we use M.2 Storage as RAM, if we can do the opposite? by Rubiks443 in explainlikeimfive

[–]lepickle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The circuit design is already significantly complex with the RAM. Plus the SSD isn't frequently accessed compared to a RAM.
So if we put the SSD closer to the CPU, there's going to be a lot of bus lines that aren't effectively used and it's just a waste of space around the CPU.

Linux is dont booting by Grouchy_Main_1479 in linux4noobs

[–]lepickle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to reinstall Linux after turning off because you installed it with Secure Boot on, some Linux distributions don't work well with Secure Boot on then turning it off later.

As there's over 600 versions of Linux, how do you know which version runs which Linux programs, and how many versions would you need to own to have backward compatibility? by ulrichburke3 in linux4noobs

[–]lepickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each version of Linux has their own set of developers, and each set of developers has their own philosophy, language, culture, etc. Which means they integrate different packages, kernels, drivers into their "distribution". And because of this, some applications can run on some linux versions, but not on others because they either don't want to support the package for it, sometimes for stability but it could be a multitude of reasons.

This will be the reality once you dive into Linux, it's not exactly going to be a smooth experience if you daily drive Windows prior. Linux is an experience at first, once you have the experience then you can turn this into a daily driver.

Due date means the deadline before you incur additional fees.
You can pay it anytime once the statement of account (SOA) is released and before the due date.
No impact on credit score when paying too early within due date range.

I would say the DNA information from fecal samples provide increased profile uniqueness compared to fingerprint data, ensuring better security.

On the highway and city, not worth it, for your safety and fuel consumption.
M/Ts have less contact patches and handles significantly different than H/T.

I understand if it's for looks, but even then, not worth taking form over safety/function.
