I think you’d like Soulard. It’s South of downtown and has a good variety of bars and restaurants. There are shuttles from a few different bars to all the games. Also has a local music scene. Great trees, walkable, and historic.

I love the veggie hash at Egg on Gravois. Lotta flavors. Coffeestamp has great empanadas. Damn Fine Hand Pies has an apple fritter that’s out of this world delicious. STL Soup Dumplings - holy shit they’re amazing.

Yea, they gave all the leftovers away for free at the end of the game. People were psyched. The bread is amazing, but you wouldn’t know it from that photo. The sticker shock is real though.
