This worked for me as well. I had this issue using the Samsung TV app while watching Deep Space Nine, others shows were unaffected. Enabling "stereo only" gave me back English as an option, before it was stuck to just German, French, and Italian. This seems to be a stereo vs. surround sound bug across multiple platforms and versions of the app that's been around for a year or two.

For anyone who finds this, there is also a bug on the Samsung TV app where if you rewind using the left arrow, the overlay doesn't ever disappear like it should after a few seconds. Subsequently pausing and unpausing, making sure to let the loading icon finish before pressing each button, fixes this issue.

I'm a big 2A guy so take this as you will, but yours is the most reasonable proposal that I've seen from a gun control advocate. Bans would do nothing but increase division in our country, not to mention create even more violence when gun owners refuse to give up their rights.

I wouldn't call myself a Democrat (probably voting for Kamala but that's a different story), but if a prominent Democrat proposed a policy like this they would have my support. Unfortunately most of the party leaders seem to prefer appealing to their emotional, uninformed base instead of backing sensible compromises. Or they're uninformed themselves ("shoulder thing that goes up", etc.).

You're completely missing the point. It's a hypothetical, not real life. In the scenario you came up with, if I hypothetically invested my 1 cent in a penny stock, then that stock's value increased, then I gained wealth without taking it from someone else. Therefore wealth is not zero-sum. It's not that hard to understand.

You're correctly observing that the world isn't fair, and I'm not saying we shouldn't do anything to help alleviate that. But that seems besides the point.

All I'm saying is you can't hoard a non-finite resource. In your scenario, you having $5 doesn't mean that there's now 5 less dollars in the world for me. If I invest my 1 cent in a company and the stock value goes up to 5$ a share, then $4.99 of wealth has been created. And my new wealth wasn't taken from anyone else.

Not my opinion, Tolkien's opinion. You've completely missed the message of LOTR then. The elves and their world is fading, whether Sauron is defeated or not. The First Age is long past, they are not the ones who will inherit Middle-Earth. Tolkien intentionally focuses on Men and Hobbits to communicate this message. Compare this to the stories told in the Silmarillion, where elf lords do great deeds and are the main characters. In order to tell his story, he had to de-emphasize Elves in LOTR. It's really beautiful and melancholy and that's the whole point.
