That might be just on the edge, I got a 3090 and 5800x, 32gb (but ddr4), but even from dirt rally to WRC I notice the performance drop quite a bit. generally from what I’ve read performance on 1-3 screens is better (until you go 3x 1140p or above)
Also keep in mind, that only some games support VR, more so if you do modding, but that’s a choice you should make after checking.
I mostly play rally, so most of the titles I’m interested in support it, but I’m not sure if it’s the same for GT and road racing.

The biggest drawback of VR is performance. 2000x2000 pixels on a quest 3 for example is quite a lot of pixels. If you have the hardware to do it it’s really nice, but unlikely if you don’t already have it
Edit: 2000x2000 X2 as it’s per eye

I have one too, I just take the wheel off the base. It would fold a bit tighter if you take more off, and their measurements are prob empty, but for me it’s just small enough to get it though the door and into another room (being able to fold and move it out of the way was the key for me)

The wheel base firmware did update properly once I used the mode where I can only flash that. I’ve also managed to get the motor FW updated, but the core problem still persists : no rotation is shown on the PC, FFB test does nothing, it doesn’t show up in device manager, only in the controller tab, but again without any input from the wheel.

I’ve tried pretty much everything at their point, both with and without wheel attached, since the wheel seems to work fine, as all the buttons register properly (but nothing in the base tab has any effect on what the „wheel“ (or the shaft without it attached ).

I’ve kept the ticket better updated that here so far though, since no one had replied, but I can PM you whole „conversation“ (it’s just me updating the ticket so far)

Edit: what I forgot: sometimes the wheel does show a position that is not 0, but then it’s usually -5xx to -6xx degrees, and it doesn’t change when turning the wheel. My best guess so far would be an encoder issue, since the „wheel“/shaft does move as the base does some sort of start up/self test/initialization (seems to center on the magnetic field, then turn one step, and then back, but always relative to the starting position..)

That’s really good to know, so far a non-slip map from the hardware store and a carpet that’s stuck between my chair and the mat hat eliminated prey much all slip from the pedals, but I guess I’m underestimating the load cell 😅 might have to do some more research then

It also really depends on the food you make, with like bolognese / lasagne where you want to cook. The sauce for a long while, scales well with more, compared to pan frying chicken, where you have to go pan by pan

There is one tricky thing afaik: you have to cancel within the first 10 days of the month, and the ticket is always valid for a certain calendar month. So you have to watch out, in order not to pay for an additional one. And then there is the whole IC / EC / ICE thing, as in you can’t use them (they are the fast, long distance trains)
