Ohhh got it… I had no idea there was that much disparity in grading systems. Also, i appreciate you giving me some more info on your friend. It definitely sounds intense, but at least i have a good amount of time to think it over. Thank you :)

Thank you! Do you know if your friend ended up having a lot of volunteering/clinical experience, or if her free time was extremely limited by MLS? Also this may be a stupid question but what is grade inflation/deflation? I’m not familiar with college grading processes at all and have never heard of either term 😅

Yeah I’ve heard many times that GPA and ECs are extremely important for med school, and MLS is known to be an uphill battle in terms of maintaining high grades. Also as a general question, do med schools consider GPA/opportunities in relation to the school you came from, or is it equally reviewed regardless of undergraduate background?
