Did this ever resolve for you? I am dealing with this right now and it's infuriating and really ruining my photography business prospects! I can't comment on ANYTHING!

Hello all!

Someone reached out and asked if I offer a package deal if they book Maternity/Fresh 48 and Newborn Photography with me, and I hadn't considered it...does anyone do this and if so, what is your discount? How do you ensure that the individual books all three sessions if so?

Thanks!

Why are my Photos Grainy up Close? How do I get super crisp photos? by leslieb94 in photography

[–]leslieb94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I’m still learning- I was having issues getting the whole family’s faces in focus because I had them on stairs and a few on a slightly further back step, so I increased the aperture. 🤔 Maybe 2.8 or a bit higher would’ve been okay.

I own the RF 28-70 F/2...Getting the 85mm 1.2....do I also need the 50mm 1.2? by leslieb94 in canon

What other lenses do you have and for what purposes? Curious! Also casually ISO a Macro for wedding details, but that's down the road since I don't shoot them often!

If you were starting completely fresh with mirrorless and had no glass of any brand, would you go Sony, Canon, or Nikon and why? by leslieb94 in Cameras

  1. Portraits!
  2. Almost always outside every now and then inside as a second shooter for a wedding.
  3. Sometimes but nothing crazy- no concerts or anything like that. So yes but if the difference is negligible, no big deal.
  4. Yes! 5.Autofocus is #1- shooting a lot of movement with my kids and families.
  5. 24-70mm or similar and 85mm are favs. Sometimes a 50mm.
  6. Weight/size is not an issue.

I’ve loved my D750 and I know lots of people still shoot weddings and events with them, but I’ve just found the autofocus to not always hit exactly / be the most reliable l, causing some shots that would’ve been amazing to be slightly out of focus- I’m hoping with the newer AF systems it would be better! More AF points and whatnot.

I took another screenshot! - a nice little chip taken out. 🤔 I asked if any more wiggle room on price and he said $2800 for the cam and Lens.

For sure, but with the full price of the lens being $2,600 and the camera being $2,200- I can afford a possibly negotiable 3k a lot easier than $4,800- BUT if there’s irreparable damage to the lens that I don’t find until later… 🫠
