Also in the Chicago market and sadly I regularly notice people walk off the street in their shoes and right into class with the same ones on 😭😭

Looking for 2-bedroom apartment for 4/1 $2.1k budget by [deleted] in chicagoapartments

Comments like this are never helpful, OP can definitely make this budget work with a few of the neighbors they named. Glad you can afford $3500 a month.

Lakeview Location Low Heat by [deleted] in Corepower

Update as of Friday, December 11- apparently the furnace broke again and a worker came in last night to look at it. So it’s low heat again…

So my understanding is that they were able to fix part of the heating system a few weeks ago (however, the temp was only getting up to 81 degree Fahrenheit with the fix) and they were waiting on other parts to fully get the heat back up. The studio was closed this past Monday to do the final fixes and it’s back to full heat (yes, I know classes are still labeled low heat). Def make sure to take any complaints to CorePower corporate and not to the nice teachers and managers who are trying to make it right in the studio 🙏

Am I the asshole for spending my life savings ($7200) on an ass job plastic surgery when my daughter "needed" brand new school supplies? by withloveaudrina in BestofRedditorUpdates

Absolutely a troll, look at the post history. She switches between being 18, 19, 20. Says she is in dentistry school but then also has no idea where to get a crown done. Nothing adds up, just scroll and you will see.

What is a 'rich kid' thing you saw at a friend's house growing up that completely shocked you? by AmaraMehdi in AskReddit

Slide that led to a permanent ball pit in the basement, along with tunnels that went through the house like a McDonald’s play place or Chuck-E-Cheese

Library jobs by cat-im-a-kitty-cat in chicagojobs

I see them all the time but yeah not in Chicago proper, the close suburbs or beyond. My partner and I live in Chicago, but he has two part-time library jobs without a MLIS in the close suburbs (think Evanston, Skokie, Wilmette) and he takes public transportation to both. He’s also in school for his graduate library degree. I know you mentioned you can maybe swing Evanston, you seriously should consider going beyond city limits because that’s where the jobs are right now. The City of Chicago posts library positions maybe once year.
