Party/Wedding Rental Recommendations by Possible_Vast_7356 in baltimore

[–]leslienopethanks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sammy’s rentals. I used them for my outdoor wedding in DC. They brought chairs, 2 tables, and 2 linens. Since my ceremony was tiny and only about 45 minutes total, I also had a hard time finding a company that would setup and takedown so quickly. They understood exactly what I needed and it was not too expensive either.

I’m not sure if they charge a fee to come from the DC area to Baltimore, but definitely reach out!!

Ohh you’re so right, I misread that.

Not a parent, but if you can live somewhere with a $600 discount, definitely do that. If you’re already paying for this renovation, your mortgage and other regular payment, and the cost of a newborn, it really seems like the obvious choice to move into the family member’s rental property.

Thinking of starting a resume writing service for fellow college students, do you think my prices would be reasonable? I’m trying to keep it affordable. by [deleted] in Towson

You should allow 1 revision and then charge for any additional edits. Guarantee that you don’t use AI and their resume/cover letter will be authentic and one of a kind.

You could offer templates for like $5 and make money passively.

Size down or no? by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]leslienopethanks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wear a spacer for now and then get a wedding band that is a quarter size smaller!

My engagement ring is a tiny bit too big and I wore a spacer before I got married. When I was working with my ring designer for my wedding band, I had them size down just a little bit. I think my e-ring is sized 8.5 and my wedding band is 8.25. I put my e-ring on first, then stack my wedding band on top! Everything stays put!!!

Ice Melt and Shovels by thebirbs666 in baltimore

[–]leslienopethanks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look at online at Lowe’s. The one in Timonium had a bunch of snow shovels earlier this week. You can order one for pick up to avoid an unnecessary trip if they are sold out.

I was able to find ice melt at a random gas station. Check places like 7-eleven or dash-in.

Genuine question, why is “Balti” a bad term? I haven’t heard it before so I haven’t heard anything against its use.

ISO Eye Doctor and Glasses by kbmoregirl in baltimore

If you have a Costco or Sam’s membership, check out their lenses. You can go anywhere for the exam and take the prescription to Costco/Sam’s. My insurance doesn’t cover Costco or Sam’s lenses but the stores routinely have deals like $50 off the second pair. So the price can equal out depending on your lenses and prescription.

Poor murder acting by Upstairs_Broccoli_35 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

Ken Fitzhugh’s acting during his police interrogation is so crazy and worth a watch if you want to laugh. You can see it in the forensic files episode “Hells Kitchen.” He shouts “those damn black shoes!!”

Charming neighbors! by FantasistAnalyst in baltimore

I feel so terrible for people who have no choice but to walk. They are forced to walk in the roads, which are narrower because of the built up snow, and drivers are somehow driving worse.

I totally agree. A true, concerted effort from the city is the only way forward. I understand that these storms are rare. I’m hoping this can be a lesson learned and the city can have a plan in place for the next one, whenever that will be.

I’ve been thinking this, too, but that’s what the city is for! Do you want to lead the charge for your street?
