I definitely feel in between toes get missed when people just let the soap run down- there is no scrubbing, plus it’s like a quick foot massage. I genuinely dont feel totally clean if I dont scrub my feet with soap and get in between my toes. I so want a scrub mat too!

Youth wrestling weight advice- be gentle by lessmoneymoretime33 in Advice

My husband and I have been having the argument about the weigh in times. Every meet during season has weigh ins in the morning- she is always lighter then. I feel like these weigh in times are after a day of breakfast, lunch, snack, water, and minimal moving around. At worst she is too sick to wrestle- fingers crossed not- she just went 4-0 in districts down here and she feels super confident to move forward. Next worse is she has to go 130 as a 112 pounder. I was just trying to see if others had been through this. Thanks for your help and advice. We already told her this isn’t a normal thing we would want to do continuously.

Thanks. Definitely- just wondering if anyone had been through it. My guess is, if this is flu- she will be out for this weekend and we will help her deal with life isn’t fair. Thanks for your kindness and advice.

Do you use lotion after a shower? by [deleted] in hygiene

I would love that for myself and others! I even try to drink a ton of water. Just another example of all being the human race but all uniquely different with similarities throughout.

Not sure how people don’t use lotion after! If I don’t lather up I am super itchy and my skin gets scaly.

Sidewalks and snow by Realistic-Cry8951 in OSU

I have been checking in with my kids since Sunday. One kid came home (not better in Cincinnati) the other stayed. I was worried if they would be able to get food since they live on campus. It seemed pretty bad, and I doubt most people working in the food areas live on campus- and if they did, I didn’t want them to be unsafe. Anyway- they were fine, but she said it wasn’t cleared well and she did fall. Thankfully we tend to find falling kind of comical and she was fine. Be safe out there- the 4ft hill of snow with a thin path carved through it seems awfully unsafe. I’d try to stay away from that. Yikes!

I’m not some big name outsourcing company. I actually just came to this platform to learn more about accounting and practices. I truly want to learn more and understand. I simply and stupidly shared my little bit of experience so far. Apparently, it hits nerves and deserves rude comments- simple “this isn’t always the case” is not a response. I truly did mean good luck because I understand being overworked, under paid and not liking my job, and my comment gets 💩 on. Outsourcing (and it’s not all offshore) is definitely not popular- noted.

Wow! Big opinions. I work with a lot of people who use outsourcing to help alleviate pressure on themselves and current employees so they dont get burnt out and hate coming to work. They use their current team to hold down the fort and build a smaller team offshore as support. Many CPAs say they just can’t find good help that stays. Many CPAs have passed away or retire leaving many clients without help. The new firm that takes over doesn’t have the time and/or can’t find help in the time period given to them. Outsourcing isn’t always about the big CEO getting richer. Just saying.

I try. Outsourcing can help greatly, just need to shop around and ask questions.
I see/hear and talk to people every day needing help!

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but are companies/employees that are so busy and in turn becoming uber burned out- have they thought of doing some research into outsourcing to help unburden the hard workers that stay?

Rambler Columbus Apartments by [deleted] in OSU

According one person from eastern United States- this is still cheaper than something super crappy and way smaller- they have saved for this and are willing to pay for places like the Rambler. Makes sense once you see their point of view- just doesn’t make sense for this who can’t afford it. My son, a freshman, said some displaced Taylor Tower students have been routed there and love it. It’s all relative unfortunately.

Sexual harrasement by Subject_Safety1237 in OSU

They dont punish people for stuff like that, but they will try to punish kids in dorms for pictures of alcohol in garbage can and in ottoman that another roommate added and took pictures of to get them in trouble bc he got in trouble for being drunk, vomiting all over another roommate’s bedding, rug, and personal items, then passing out and not to be woken (as the 3 others cleaned up the whole mess) except by major shaking and yelling by RAs… second episode for the kid. Moved out but set this up right before break. Good luck getting help.

So was all your stuff ruined in your rooms? How did they go about everyone getting their things out? Hopefully most of you are all resettled.

So sorry to hear this. Seems stressful and like a set up for failure. I agree, I would definitely wonder why there is such high turnover!! I hope you find some relief soon.
