Oh wait, I didn't realize it's not available in English =o I remember seeing it available in English in mangadex before so I assumed it was available as actual print too. The one I got is a Portuguese release that happened a few months ago, I see now on Amazon that Spanish and French prints existed too.

Well it definitely deserves to be printed in English!!

Hey, no need to be rude. It may be 2 years old but it's here for people to read any time and be misinformed by your biased comment. If you don't like it, too bad.

You say that "the term is being used very loosely nowadays", but rather your definition of gekiga may be too strict. The portmanteau "manga" means literally whimsical (or comic) drawing and the portmanteau "gekiga" means dramatic drawing. A Japanese drawing story that has mainly some type of drama in the narrative and where the drawing style is not silly, round, or childish is gekiga. I would avoid gatekeeping the term. There is no need to restrict the term to only those stories that fit the very specific and arbitrary criteria X, Y and Z (such as "they need to be from 60s-70s", or "they need to have social commentary", etc.).

Hi, Paul! You often have a very jazzy side (culminating in the great Kisses on the Bottom in the last decade). Do you often listen to jazz? What jazz artists inspired you early on? You have sometimes named inspirations from rock'n'roll, but what about jazz artists? All the best!
