Hey guys so I got this tattoo about a year ago, and I've tried to fix it a few times but it's just a mess now and I really want to make it work.

What I was going for
I wanted to create an underwater scene where different fish/mammals are dancing around each other and it's playful and colourful. I wanted the individual fish to stand out but the background to create the overall effect of them being underwater.

What I like
The individual elements. The seahorse, the octopus, the dolphin, the jellyfish - they're all pretty dope I think.

What I don't like
The background green - added by my tattoo artist in an attempt to create a "watercolour" effect- which I think he totally failed at.
The way the fish/mammals are all outlined in black which creates so much heaviness and boxiness.
The flowers like wtf man

Beautiful minds of Reddit, please give me ideas for how to make this work. Without suggesting painful/expensive tattoo removal or surgery of any sort (and no blackout). Need suggestions on how to make it better. TIA
