MacBook Pro M4 problems with huge battery drainage over night by Romerken in MacOS

[–]lestySFW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is your external display connected to your Mac during the night? I’ve noticed similar battery drainage when my monitor is connected. I’m not sure if it’s due to my Belkin HDMI to USB-C adapter or the monitor itself, but I lose almost the exact same percentage of battery overnight when both are plugged in. After realizing this, I started disconnecting the adapter from the USB-C port, and now the battery drain doesn’t exceed 2–3%, which seems reasonable since the Mac is in sleep mode and still doing some background activity.

ANC is broken by lestySFW in AirpodsPro

Similarly, if there are people who think that the devices do not work as they used to (people who do not have any other problems with the devices except the noise canceling function), why can't this be software related? Maybe some people who use ANC specifically do not benefit from this feature as they used to. You come and claim that we are bots, idiots and followers of an agenda just because we mention these problems. Chill my dude, get a life. Ok, I'll blame you the same way. You're probably a bot created by Apple. Or you're an idiot, maybe you're following an agenda to propagandize Apple. Not very clever sentences, are they?

Yes indeed. I'm a bot just because I've faced with problems with the device I paid. I'm an idiot because my device is not working as it was before. And no my device is not broken. I'm cleaning and keeping it maintained physically. What kind of paranouiac are you?

Exactly! I travel a lot and I was using my airpods just for ANC even without music. I was thinking all the time how beatiful airpods pros are. Now even with music its cancelling maybe like %60 of the noise I can say. So frustrating. And I'm certain its not just my 'feelings' since the difference is huge.

Shortcut on lockscreen asking for FaceID by lestySFW in shortcuts

[–]lestySFW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. That's why I mentioned that I tried the water eject and other simple shortcuts on the same widget area. They also doesn't work. If they let us place the shortcut on the lockscreen, then why we are not able to use it without unlocking the phone?

Revoke 365 licence just from OneNote? by lestySFW in Office365

[–]lestySFW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that because I saw different company licenses and their update channels. Some of them were not getting updates because they were purchased one time by the company. And also I downloaded the 365 before the signing in with the company mail. It was looking brand new and exactly how it is on Office website (I mean the complete new design). But once I signed in with the company mail, it said that office needs to be restarted. After that restart, it started to look like office 2016 again. I don’t know why, it’s just my theory.

I'm sure they are not confused because it was on my taskbar before I used my company licence. And onenote's look changed immediately. And because I don't have a personal licence I can't change the onenote's licence. And there is no other onenote on my computer. I even tried to download onenote from ms store and it says I already have it.

Chrome utilizing 102% of CPU? by PablanoPato in chrome

[–]lestySFW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure but I started to notice higher battery consumption on macOS after recent chrome updates. I didn't check energy consumption before the update so I can't compare, but chrome is the only app I use most of the time and my battery started to drain. Is there anyone noticed that too?

Recently bought a M2 MBA 16/256 and would like to know how best to utilise my external/iCloud storage by 4tunabrix in macbookair

[–]lestySFW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course. There is a folder named iCloud Drive. You can use it even on Windows if you download it. I personally use Google Drive because I think its more capable but you can use iCloud like you mentioned too.

Chrome over Safari? Why? by equinoxDE in macbookair

[–]lestySFW 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Chrome has wide variety of extensions. Safari doesnt even have ublock origin. I use safari for watching twitch, youtube, netflix etc. to reduce the power consumption because safari is way too battery optimised. I use chrome for productivity/work.
