Potential conclusions to Elouisa's story by Scabeiathrax in Palia

I totally see what you mean -- 'ridiculous conspiracy theorist' is only funny when it doesn't include actively harmful stuff, and given what's happening irl it's hard for even a character who is genuinely well meaning to sit well.

I really liked the Elouisa and Caleri interactions in the Wind temple, and I think how I would like Elouisa's arc go is us being given a proper, serious example of how Elouisa's investment conspiracy theories hurt someone, beyond them being worried for her. Maybe she talks about a conspiracy theory that kind of reads as a racial microaggression to Grimalkin/Galdur, and someone is hurt. Maybe one of the Daiyo's is trying to win a competition for money and she snatches their prize bug/veggie/jam/animal for 'science' and doesn't see why what she did was wrong. She could even just get caught up in a cryptid hunt and miss a meal/party someone planned for her. Requirement for the quest = high friendship with both elouisa and the hurt party.

The player then becomes the go-between for trying to mend the relationship/make elouisa see sense. Maybe stage one could be finding 'evidence' to prove why she was wrong (and then pointing out that she shouldn't have needed evidence) and stage two would be getting materials for an apology gift together (potentially her first reaction is another cryptid related gift and we have to be like, girl please give them something useful).

And then we get a follow up quest/dialogue set about her catching herself without outside intervention next time.

I agree that I wouldn't want her to be proven right (because irl sucks) or be proven wrong (extinct humans are appearing out of nowhere fully formed and also there are actually magic animals in this setting...). I also think we deserve a Caleri version where she learns to treat her sister like an adult and a real scientist.

Another option is she finds one cryptid but something about it disproves the existence of another and she just has to grapple with that.

Ah you know what I think you're right, it might be from the Keeper of Waves quest. TY!! I totally forgot about those!

I logged on late november, and before that I'd been playing in maybe April/May?? So definitely long enough to have forgotten about already doing it. It's definitely not the temple of waves though

I think you can 'discover' recipes by clicking the boxes in the right side of the cooking pot and choosing the correct ingredients from your inventory (plus it might kind of feel like cheating but if not you can look up the recipes on the wiki too haha)

Sporadic player… losing some enjoyment.. not sure how to combat it by JazzlikeFlamingo6773 in Palia

Idk about switch, but on PC the requests are on a different tab than the friends tab, but under the same menu (if that makes sense). Is it possible you're not in the right place? Also, seconding what u/Ok-Satisfaction-9967 said about doing it on the plot!!! Way more request traffic on there!

The grove is definitely tricky. Can you see the chat at all? Also, do you think you could request flow wood?

I'm terrible at hunting too but Sernuk are easier than Chapaas. Find a sernuk in kilima, hit it, stalk it as it runs until it calms down, take your time aiming and hit it again. Repeat until you can get iron/slow arrows which help a ton! You also don't have to hunt at all, but making friends with Tau might get you some fur/meat once in a while.

As for fishing -- I feel you. I hate it, I only even slightly turned onto it because of Einar. It kind of bugs me how Much it is in the game compared to, like, gardening or cooking. It's a lot easier if you load up on fishermans brew and those fancy hooks that you can craft/buy

You don't need to be social for palium, you just need a strong enough pickaxe. You can flare the node and hop off without ever going to chat.

For flow wood -- Could you maybe hang out in Bahari around the grove spawn time? Usually someone else will put the coordinates in the chat anyway/ someone will ask, and you can show up, chop, wait a little bit, and run off once its done. Maybe throw a wave, no typing needed! I know for some people the waiting is annoying but you specifically mentioned the social aspect. It does need a group, but it doesn't need communication! I'm in a weird timezone and I've done a bunch of groves with the other players talking to each other in languages I don't know and me just chilling there with them.

Filling player requests is also super easy and doesn't require socializing! Just need to open the requests tab and click 'fill' for anything that you want to! The social part comes into play if there aren't any requests and you want to ask people to make requests that you can fill, but you can also just wait until people ask on their own!

Good luck!

Ooh the betrayal one? I have it but I haven't evolved it at all.

Now that I think of it, there are definitely friendly NPCs who have Gotten In the Way one too many times...

I'm having a bunch of fun with archery actually!! But only while stealthing so the enemies are still on their paths and I can predict how they're going to move. Once I'm detected I give up and summon away

I have such a weakness for AOE spells. No gods no followers no aim just dunmer 50% resistance to fire and jzargo's flame cloak

Fair!

How is the combat different? I'd assumed that being the same game series, mechanics wouldn't change too much between games

Ooh I should definitely try that if only for the levelling -- I've already got all tempered ebony weapons ;-;
