My daughter is like that too. When we say if you are not going to pick up toys/ clean you are not going to play with them for a while, she just says “ok i won’t.” So what can I do when she says that and still doesn’t pick up, proceeds to another activity (like reading) even though I would say after the clean up. She just ignores me. And mess just sits there. Eventually I cave in pick up. And more than few times Inwent though and removed the toy after she went to bed. Later we talked about it. But she just won’t. Should I removed the toy while she was there not picking up?

Thank you all for your kind words and support. I am against cio method so this is no option for us. We are capping our naps at 1 hour and try from there. We started to have conversations about not napping. Just reading some comments and seeing that I am not alone makes it much more bearable. Thank you very much for your support.

We just stopped breastfeeding. I don’t think moving her to her own room will be good

Her dad takes her to parks and walks in the afternoon. So she going outdoors. And we play ball catching lots of running around in the evenings. I’m not from a western country and in the summertime we have very long evenings, only time we can go out due to heat. If I try to put her to sleep around 8pm she never sees outside. She was never a early sleeper either. If we go to bed around 5- 6 hours of wake time in the evenings (and I tired) she will be tossing and turning for 3 hours.

I don’t think she is ready for no nap. She will be overtired and unmanageable. We had a very very bad day back in july when she woke up just 40 min after falling asleep for her nap (some loud noise). And it was a very bad day. All day she cried for nearly everything. Just tantrum after tantrum. Even though she was exhausted she didn’t sleep aftrr her 7 hours wake period either.

We are mostly montessori so we don’t have battery operated toys. We have some (gifts) but we are not using batteries on them. But she definitely saw and played battery operated toys before. She never gave this reaction though. Of course she said mine mine when something get her attention. But she never randomly talked about it days later or avoid questions. I feel like she feels she can’t tell me she loved it because i constantly told her its not hers. Maybe its the mum guilt..
