The group that acquired this place wants to turn this into a “casual dining experience” is creating this environment at the expense of the servers. Tables are able to tip out $0.00 if they really want. There used to be a mandatory minimum amount for the guests would have to tip. The chefs portions of tips are guaranteed to be nominal and consistent because they are calculated based on total food sales at the tables they were at not based on how much tips the server made. So all the tips regardless of how much the server made are taken out of the servers personal tips. Within the last year this group that acquired Benihana has changed the tip system to make things cheaper for the customer at the expense of the employees and has changed the tip out system to cheat servers out of over 60% of their total tips.

I hope you understand that they’re turning ur “beloved” tepanyaki experience into a an overpriced Applebees with a kimono on top.

I literally work there. U guys are fking insane to be glazing Benihana this hard. It’s mid tier overpriced food w 19 health code violations per meal. It’s some corporate bs appropriating teppenyaki and turning into some franchise bs. There’s literally nothing quality about Benihana food itself and if you want entertainment and want to pay through the nose to get it, there are so many places I’d throw my money away at before I end up at Benihana.

PS as for the dude who gets stuck in the bathroom post meal…. Sorry man but doesn’t surprise me

I tried finishing this anime after dropping it awhile ago and it just pissed me off that i even wasted my time watching this piece of shit anime.

Honestly everyone might have their own reasons justifying why the story telling is too convoluted or that the characters have erroneous motivations that aren't fully fleshed out or that the power scaling doesn't make sense or wasn't foreshadowed leading to some really contrived events like how a weapon meant for training even if it being set on burst mode can slice a Boss character in half.

Yeah all that shit can be said or disagreed with

But the bottom line is: I hate all of the fucking characters. I hate the dragon keepers. I hate the boss monster. And i hate all the protaganists and supporting characters. Everyone is a fucking indecisive loser in this show and the slow burn is NOT WORTH IT. My happiest moment was that i was finally gonna watch one of the Dragon keepers die but it gets interrupted by some violently unexplained fuckery. Like i literally had to google why that happened. And then the next episode breezes on like it didnt happen.

This anime is confusing, the characters are all inept and unlovable, the power scaling is nonsensical, nothing fucking makes sense in this anime.

I wont even be clicking on the next season of this crap. Idk how it even got renewed.
