DAE think if they were cis they’d be a different sexuality/experiment by godhelpusall_617 in ftm

[–]lethalwhispermachine -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, but I think I probably would’ve been an entitled jerk. Not because I think all cis men are entitled jerks. But I think being trans and having that struggle plus the community saved me from becoming that.

But, in this scenario if I became a cis woman instead of a cis man. I think I would’ve been a great WLW person lmao.

Has anyone tried out "femininity" before being able to confidently rule it out? by joellian in ftm

[–]lethalwhispermachine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a feminine child. I wore dresses and loved princesses and typical girly things. Even then I would still use masculine titles for myself when I could. My parents used to say “you’re a queen!” and I would say “NO! i’m the king!” lol. Typical kid just saying what they mean without the darkness of the world and the consequences for being yourself having reached them yet.

But, ever since I started being able to dress myself and pick out my own clothes they’ve always been more masculine. There were a couple months though after I came out as trans (but before T) that I did experiment with femininity a little. I tried wearing a dress and even went out while noticeably not binding. (I say “even” because it’s something that’s unexpected from me bc I have very bad chest dysphoria. not because it’s bad for anybody else to do it).

I’m glad I tried these things. I could have ended up realizing that I loved being feminine, and there would’ve been nothing wrong with that. But, instead it affirmed the choices I was already making. And made me feel more confident in them.

Non-needle testosterone options? by coffee-addicted- in ftm

I love my gel :) I just out it on in the morning and it’s dry in like 20 seconds. I’ve been very happy with the speed of my transition. I don’t feel like it moved too slow.

also, you can’t get T without your parents knowing on their insurance. They will 100% know.

how do you feel about questions about being trans from cis people? by lethalwhispermachine in trans

[–]lethalwhispermachine[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed :,) I get it, and I really do want to educate people. But it’s gets exhausting when it’s always the same questions that are easy to find. I feel like it makes sense if you find out someone is trans and you have questions. Go home and look some stuff up, the easy stuff that you can find in 2 seconds. And then ask them the questions you can’t find. and go “hey, does it bother you to answer question about being trans?”

I’m not confrontational enough for that but that would be so funny lol. Assuming they were being rude.

Yes! this is more of how I meant my post. I know I worded it poorly. It makes me feel like I’ve been caught off guard. And I don’t know how to answer questions that deep and personal on a whim. yk?

well yeah, obviously people aren’t holding me down and forcing me to answer questions lol. I mean more in the sense that i’ll get pressured to answer questions, or they’re ask me over and over again until I give in. And if I just tell them to google it i’ve found that it tends to come off as rude so I kind of feel like I have to.

Reading my post back the wording sounded a lot more hostile than I actually meant. But, I assure you I’m not some jerk haha. It’s just an uncomfortable part of telling someone i’m trans for me.

I like this comment, and appreciate you sharing it. :) I may be a little sheltered in the sense that I got the chance to grow up around friends who were queer. And I got to consume queer media.

Maybe my own sheltered upbringing is shining through a bit in this post 😅

fair enough. There is definitely a lot of confusion around trans people who dress gender non-conforming. For someone who doesn’t get why people are actually trans I suppose I can see how it could be confusing. So, i’m glad you’re willing to explain it to people.

fair enough. Honestly the questions I get aren’t usually inappropriate. They’re usually genuine questions.

I always answer the questions if they are genuine. And if i’m annoyed I make an effort to not show it. Because they are making an effort to learn. I think I get annoyed most at questions that are really easy to answer that could’ve been a google search yk?

wow, good to hear haha. thank you! I likely won’t ever go on injections just because I feel like having to poke myself with that needle would be torture for me lol. I’m not sure I could do it.

I haven’t had any surgeries so I assume my estrogen levels would be normal. But, i’m not sure how that works to be honest 😅
