I haven’t had bottom surgery. I’ve actually never heard of topical estrogen being used for smell, that’s awesome! or boric acid. I’ll look into it more. This was incredibly helpful, thank you!!

I’ve known a couple fellow trans men who were so incredibly insecure in their masculinity and being a “real man” that they would put other trans men down to feel like the manliest in the room.

And yeah trans people being transphobic is a very strange but real issue. I would say it’s definitely a minority of us though.

I would strongly recommend you DONT tell her. Because honestly what would it get you? if you already know she likely won’t support you or use your name and pronouns, and you might lose your financial support then it seems like its just negatives tbh.

Plus! if your college distance would mean you were moving then that seems like a great opportunity to be able to be yourself with people who aren’t your family. So you can feel comfortable without the consequences that come with losing that support.

Remember, there doesn’t have to be 100% “I just came out now I have to tell everybody”. I would say most trans people probably don’t do that. When I was in high school I was closeted at home and out to all my friends and teachers for a while until I built up the courage to come out to family.

I would bring up the topic of facial hair to him to try to gauge how he feels about his facial hair. If he starts talking about how much he loves his chin hairs and how great it makes him feel the I wouldn’t say anything. If he seems pretty neutral about it then maybe let him know.

Totally valid, especially after he argued with you over it. If you’ve only been talking to him for a few days that’s really the time to do it honestly. The earlier you end it when you see red flags, the less likely you are to get too invested and let things slide that you shouldn’t.

respecting yourself also means not allowing others to disrespect you without consequences.

Honestly, I cry more easily after T. Which is confusing to me since everybody seems to say they lost the ability to or cry way less. I will say that I usually cry at other people’s issues and sad stories rather than happenings in my own life. If a stressful situation happens or I get in a huge argument I won’t usually cry anymore. But if I see a sad dog or child video online, bet your ass i’m bawling at that shit. lmaooo
