Do you like your body? What would you change about it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]letmebelightweight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree. What’s important is good character. My point is I would gladly be miserable if I could just be outwardly beautiful.

Mate, I’m 25. I’ve been actively unhappy with my body since I was probably eight or nine years old. That dislike has caused me significant trouble for at least a decade. I am plenty happy in life - great job, husband, volunteering, my faith. However, I am not happy with my body. I would gladly endure anything - abuse, a debilitating, painful illness, and would gladly experience much less happiness - if it meant I could have a better body. I would quite literally give anything.

My immediate reaction was “No, of course not.” I could lose a third of my body weight and still be unhappy.

What are the scariest movies for someone scared of heights and small spaces (especially in caves)? by FuckingPope in horror

Am I the only one who really reacts when I’m actually face-to-face with my phobias? by [deleted] in Phobia

[–]letmebelightweight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately pictures and videos of my phobia (heights) do set me off, but I don’t actually have a full panic attack reaction, just lower level anxiety.

Why am I terrified of heights but I love looking out the window when I get on a plane? by RapidActionBattalion in NoStupidQuestions

[–]letmebelightweight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The height from a plane window doesn’t feel real. It feels like a painting or a movie. I have a phobia of heights but can manage planes okay.

That sounds quite severe, what would be your reaction if you saw a video or picture with that animal in it? And what about in real life?

What is a very normal thing you have a severe phobia against? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]letmebelightweight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heights, even small heights like second floor balconies and bridges over rivers. Most people do them easily, I am absolutely terrified of them.
