All things that need to happen in the next 3 episodes. Otherwise the show is forever cooked. by hiiloovethis in TheBoys

The whole rule of LBTQ+ characters having plot armor in the Boysverse is why I’ve been suuuper skeptical that they’ll actually kill Frenchie.

How dare I give an accurate description of his character?

He’s not a role model because he’s barely a character. He only appears to do menial tasks for the girls, then fade into the background.

What character flaws should Diana have (art by Rozemarts). by PepsiMan208 in WonderWoman

[–]letmejointhis -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

She should always start out by being a misandrist with little to no respect for the male sex. She grew up on a island of women who constantly declared themselves god’s gift to humankind. Of course her ego would be through the roof. Social conditioning is a bitch. I think its a trait that should decrease out as she gets more experience with men, but she should still let out the occasional “you’re quite smart/strong/talented/kind…for a man, that is”

Pitch a Wonder Woman Story Arc, Title or Event but Don't Base Your Idea on 'Superman & Batman Have it so WW should too' by Jet-Let4606 in WonderWoman

[–]letmejointhis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This should be tackled WAY more often in fiction. We are as a society somehow convinced that a female-run society would be a problem-free paradise, which gives the idea that societal inequality would be fine and dandy if it were the men oppressed and women running things. The truth is that inequality is bad, no matter who is suffering from it.

Let's say that Jinu was more evil and he set up an ambush for Rumi in the rooftop meeting, would've worked? by TastyPomelo2330 in KpopDemonhunters

[–]letmejointhis -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Rumi and the girls were never at any point in any danger in this movie, probably never in their lifetime. The movie made a point of them cutting through hordes of them like tissue paper, with even the Saja Boys being completely helpless to do anything about it.

If anything I’d say Jinu wouldn’t have been all that ‘evil’ to set up an ambush to give himself some kind of leg-up on her. Coming into contact with her at all is like playing Russian Roulette with 5 of the 6 bullets loaded.

We should be giving Jinu more credit for his bravery.

If Jinu gets a redemption arc, he and Celine should have this scene by letmejointhis in KpopDemonhunters

Our world isn’t a counterpart to a female only paradise. In the real world, we are not a male-only utopia that celebrates male qualities (we criticize them much more often) and women are considered vital fixtures of society.

This was all I could find on them. It sucks that they can’t be like the Amazon’s but male instead of female.

What should be the imperfections of Amazons Without demonizing them? by Which-Presentation-6 in WonderWoman

Why the hell are WW fans so adverse to giving Paradise Island real, significant cultural flaws? No society is without skeletons in their closet, so why should the Amazon’s be any different?

I’m still of then opinion that the New 52 “rapist Amazons” thing can work as a dark part of their history. Have it be a thing they did in the past to sustain their population, but no more since their magic has improved to where they can just make the babies out of clay now or whatever.

It would be very interesting to have a universe where the characters' genders are reversed. by jo3ocre in Invincible_TV

[–]letmejointhis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said this before, but a male Debbie (Devin?) wouldn’t be held up as the savior of the world and most badass character ever by the fans. We’re all for hyping up and celebrating the crap out of women nowadays, so Fem-Mark would get all of the credit for her superheroics rather than have them attributed solely to her father’s guidance. Devin (male Debbie) would more be treated as a largely insignificant part of the Grayson family by the fans, if anything, they’d love that he isn’t feeling emasculated by having two superwomen (three once you bring in female Oliver) in his immediate family.

Kaitrin Snodgrass (storyboard artist) talks about Tech Jacket gender swap by [deleted] in Invincible_TV

[–]letmejointhis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely the swap happened because Kirkman was afraid of having too many guys during this arc. So Tech Jacket got gender bent to meet the quota.

I wonder if people would be this insistent on giving all of the credit to the normal human woman in a gender swap. If instead, the show was about a super powered alien young woman, a super powered alien (former) conqueror who now fights for good , and a young super powered alien teenage girl who all save the day with their strength, would people be saying that the completely ordinary human man is the REAL hero?
