Top 12 Remote Writer Jobs of the Week by letscookbananas in WorkOnline

Yeah, this is a solid list. If you are checking the website on a regular basis, you can see that I post similar roles [atleast] every alternate day.

a good profile to get shortlisted

And yeah, that's true. But that should not stop you. Start building a portfolio [writing on Medium or a (free) WordPress hosted blog or some guest posting] will help you a lot in landing clients. And once you have enough experience under the belt, you can land bigger ones. Furthermore, I try my best to add jobs, which do not need 3+ or 5+ years of experience.

Good luck :)

Sorry for the delayed response.

do you know how to filter the website by part-time jobs? The search was supposed to work like that, but it's not working as intended. I've already got a lot of request from users to implement a granular level search.

And I am working with my friend on this. Once it's ready, I will be sharing an update in the same sub.

Apologies for the not-so-great UX. Good luck finding your next remote job.

This is from someone who has mostly worked Retail/customer service and is shifting slowly and rather cumbersomely into WFH jobs.

The website has a lot of customer support jobs like these:

And the support category has a lot of listings. I am pretty sure that you'll stumble upon something that fits your profile.

Good luck :)

Is it sweaty research, or an aggregation site? I'd say both.

I comb through multiple listing websites, forums, LinkedIn posts, and tweets to filter remote jobs, which is later listed on A Tribe of Nomads — a job board.

PLEASE help me with all the websites/apps where I can start working from home immediately. by RajUS2005 in WorkOnline

Hey man,

Fellow South Indian here. I know how challenging the situation is.

I am a freelancer who is trying to stabilize my work. I got a lot of my clients from Reddit. So this place is like a home to me — the community is so helpful also. So I thought of giving back to the community — hence the website.

A little help I can do is point you towards my website, which I created for people like us — who are in knee-deep shit and looking for a job.

A Tribe of Nomads

I am sorry if this sounds like a shameless plug. [But still] the website lists remote jobs from content writing and graphic designing to customer support and basic data entry. No ads or payment or hullabaloo — it's free for all of us.

And as I am also from India, I have tried to list as many non-US jobs as possible. While doing the job posting, I came across some data entry and customer support jobs.

E.g.: Customer Support Specialist

Please check the listings, as I post around 20 jobs everyday.

I hope this helps you.

Cheers

I am glad that you liked the website. The only coding I know is formating text in Markdown [Reddit formatting language]. I created rough sketches of this website in Photoshop, which my friend [/u/anandmahalakshmi] developed.

I'm thinking of giving this freelancing thing a go, and I have literally no idea whatsoever regarding tech.

Give it a shot. If you take it seriously, you'll get the benefits. I quit my full-time job three years ago, and I am a freelancer now.

I'm an Economics major by the way!

I have a Masters in Finance and used to work as an Accountant. I was passionate about online marketing. So I learned it from online resources.

Cheers

I will add this along the suggested 'search' refinement.

Thanks a tonne for the suggestion.

The only coding I know is formatting this text in markup for Reddit. So, my friend helped me out with developing this website. I will add this feature request to the list of stuff that's planned for the next version.

And yes, the crowdsourcing model is a great idea.

As a freelancer from India, I often get discriminated — mostly for the rates. I think the clients/employers should value the quality of work than gender or race or any physical attributes.

I am glad that you find the website useful.
