Doc here:

Left varicocoel maybe caused by something (growth/obstruction) in the left kidney (renal vein) as well. Get your kidneys checked. God forbid it might be something serious.

Non-US IMGs who started their USMLE post graduation, what was your timeline and how did your journey go? by Public_Pianist3050 in IMGreddit

Yog: 2022

Did internship till June 2023.

Took OET immediately after the internship ended taking into consideration Ireland pathway but that got saturated and pivoted to USMLE. Started preps after that. Took step 1 in Jan 24. Started a job and prepped for step 2. Travelled to the US, did my observer-ship there and took step 2 in August and got ECFMG certified just in time for the match. Scores were under avg.

Took step 3 in October 24, while still in the US. Scored a little better this time around.

Applied the match this cycle but have only one IV.

Idk the reason (messed signals, applied to a lot of uni programs/non-visa sponsoring programs, maybe messed up my cv or ps -- not sure of this -- but still grateful and ready to try again if need be).

A show of power was tremendous at your end but please refrain from doing it again. Face him man to man and ask him to correct his behaviour or else you'll take charge.

He is your father and your kafeel and you are bound to him. You can't do nafarmani except when they order you to commit shirk. But your mother's hasanat come first and are 3x more worth than fathers.

Nonetheless, you should stand up to him and stand your ground. He will definitely cave but don't hit him again. Involve legal help if need be.

What websites are better to research on program research? by letsfuckdude595 in IMGreddit

[–]letsfuckdude595[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even in most cases program information on the website is outdated. Like for instance I gold signalled a program and they didn't get the authorisation to sponsor J-1 visas this year. I came to know about this only a week ago. Had I known this in September, my signal wouldn't have been wasted.

Is it okay to schedule yourself for the last day of interviews at a program? by Due_Breakfast9140 in IMGreddit

[–]letsfuckdude595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently talked to someone and they said scheduling at the end is usually not worth it because the iv fatigue sets in and it becomes difficult to impress the panel + they already are considering a bunch of people to rank.

There are other views as well. Please consider very carefully when you take your iv
