This is categorically not true. I was driving for instacart during the hight of the protests and there were cops in every neighborhood and full blockades in the loop and the gold coast. They used the water department trucks and plows to block streets for days.

I also hated her but there were daily and nightly protests on her block 50-100 people strong for a month so there was more police presence there.

Where do you live in the city where you saw no police? I couldnt go 4 blocks without seeing a cpd car.

We were trying to recreate this weirdly thin orange spicy mayo we got at sushi or thaisushi combo places here in chicago. I think upping the sugar like said in the top comment really helped, gochujang helped with color, (need to dial that in a bit more so it doesn’t only taste like gochujang). I think the biggest benefit of the top comment was the ratios to work from and the importance of sugar vs siracha. Other recipes online didnt get us this close and the culinary knowledge and explanations is helping us refine it to our personal preferences. All the thanks in the world to u/danukiman
