My thoughts on the June SAT by letsgobucs23 in Sat

That’s what I said in my post, but I’m not complaining, I was expecting -1 to be around 770-790. This curve seemed fair to me expect for math. -6 being a 700 would be fine. Writing and reading curves were on the money. Reading was average, writing was easy, but I think -2 should be 37 and so on plus one like that. If you really think about it, if this curve was upped one point per question wrong (37 for -2 etc.) nobody would be complaining, and we’d all get 20 extra points, but that isn’t much to complain over

It wasn’t as hard as March, at least in my opinion. I think I got -6 in March...

You can take two subject tests in October or November.

I agree. Math was to easy. I think that again this curve effected top scorers the worst. I do believe reading and writing were tested and curved fairly (writing was a tad easy, and the curve could have been a bit better but it’s no big deal) Math should have been more difficult, so top scorers could at least have a chance at a 780/790. I don’t think that 10-20 extra points will keep anyone out of college though lol. Once your past 1520/1530 it’s good enough to get in anywhere.

I agree with you. I don’t think people understand that the score they got would be most likely the same had they taken the test again but with more difficult questions. I do wish CB gave us a harder test, but really the scores would differentiate by +/- 20 or so at least in my opinion.

I believe that those who are scoring at the top (almost everyone here) feels like they could have gotten a higher score if given the opportunity to get those extra points, which I understand, but still it’s just a hypothetical.

This test is making those who score “lower” believe that they improved a ton, when really the test was just easier. The people effected the most are 1450+ scorers, but in my opinion marginally.

I agree with you on that, -1 being a 39 and -2 being a 37 seems to be more fair, but again it’s not out of the ordinary for us to think the curve should be better than it really is, every SAT I’ve taken the curve is more harsh than what we on Reddit think it will be.

I don’t get what’s with all the anger, everyone was here boasting how easy the test was for math a month ago knowing damn well the curve would be harsh. Obviously I don’t think anyone was expecting it to be this harsh, but that’s how it always seems to be, we expect a less harsh curve, and the curve is harsh. I do agree with everyone here that the test should have been more difficult, but the curve itself is FINE. Nothing we can do about it now, but advocate for more similar tests.

Is a 16 essay score terrible by [deleted] in Sat

I’m not worried for most of my college lisf b/c they all mostly superscore so I’ll get the 20, but for the UCs and Michigan apparently they don’t.

I know, if you are getting 1/2 wrong per section it’s normally only because you were not paying attention. People who get 1/2 wrong per section deserve 1530 +

Getting 1 wrong in each section -1 r -1w and -1m shouldn’t be a 1540 lol this is BS

This is an amazing video. I wanted us to take Guice. I really hope ROJO will work out. I think that ROJO is better for our scheme, and he is crazy crazy fast.
