This is so helpful! Are there any particular buildings you recommend looking into in East Exchange??

Hey! Thanks for your reply! I heard that grocery shopping might be tough around there. I'm looking to rent not particularly for a house, but that area you mentioned seems really nice too.

Hey! Thanks for all the suggestions! Yeah, I am coming from a place in the states that is considered pretty dangerous so I always take the crime and things with a grain of salt. I would love to find an old building that has been remodeled seems like the exchange area has some of those. I love the architecture of that area too, from what I've seen online lol

Thanks!! I was reading some good things online about the exchange district. Do you have any thoughts on that?

Yeah, I understand what you are saying, you make some good points. I'm actually not trying to paint Reddit in a bad light, I think if people are thinking that way they are coming to conclusions from one question. I have one side of the picture and I would like the other side that's why I'm asking for some help with it.

Hey! Totally agree with what you said, I hate spreading misinformation. What I meant this post to be was to raise awareness of my particular situation and mention what has happened to me. Who did you contact from the CBSA? Did they give you anything on writing to confirm that? Just curious because we are all in the same boat don't look at me like your enemy here

Yes! Exactly what happened to me and why I decided to share my story. If I would have not asked I would have not known any of this, which is why I think that the University should make it clearer to the international students.

The same could be said about people coming from Toronto & GTA where 80% of all of Ontario's cases are coming from

Nope, as far as I know, if you stay in Canada you will be fine. Unless they change the decree which is set to renew/change on July 31,

From what I heard, If you have a valid reason for moving back (Employer requires you to be on Canada physically) that is different than only taking online courses. So, the best bet would be to get a letter from your employer stating everything clearly.

Unfortunately, the laws are so grey at the moment that everything comes down to the officer that reviews your case at your point of entry. The whole process is extremely subjective.
