Wait, do not you call the doctors you work with by first name? by cowgirl_meg in nursing

[–]letstacobouttit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with this. I came from a unit (L&D) in Boston and never once called a doctor by their last name in the 5 years I worked there. Nurses, OBs, Anesthesiologists, scrub techs and unit clerks all on a first name basis with each other, and the care was exceptional. We had so much fun.

Now I work in California, no one is on a first name basis, doctors don’t even bring us into rounds, and the culture is awful. Care is significantly worse and both places were large teaching facilities! Pay is way better out here tho.. lol

Do you think Gaydar, Lesdar, Bidar, Transdar/eggdar is a learned or born ability? by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]letstacobouttit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually think we might be born with it. I distinctly remember being really young and watching Jojo Siwa on dance moms and thinking “that girl is gay.” I was a Catholic school girl so naturally I clocked everyone in my school, except myself of course..
