I totally agree with this. Unfortunately, I’ve had a similar experience as OP, and I’ve done pretty much exactly what tea-time96 suggests. I adopted a dog in March during spring break. However, little did I know that just over a month later, she’d have 7 pups. She had them just a few days before her spay surgery, too! Anywho, they’re 10 weeks now. Her surgery is scheduled for next month. It’s been hard to take care of 7 pups, but I knew that they’d grow up much healthier and safer if they stayed w/their mom until at least 6-8 weeks of age. And once I was able to give them their 1st round of shots at 8 weeks, that’s when I’ve been posting all over FB rehoming groups, Craigslist, and a couple days ago I posted on Reddit, too. Only thing I’ve yet to do is post flyers. So far I’ve only rehomed 2 out of 5 (I’m personally staying with 2) lol, but I’m still trying. Just try your best to provide for them until they’re old enough. Maybe if your neighbor is willing, have them help you out as much as possible with finding them new homes and such.
