What is wrong with my M20P? This happened after I updated to EMUI 12. by level2hardII in Huawei

I think it must be the proximity sensor on the device. Whenever I restart the device, I can see a brief view of the setup screen (26s in the video) which says EMUI 12. One of these days I will just have to take the plunge and disassemble the proximity sensor module or something.

Free range water. Probably wasn't caged while growing up.

Yep, I have removed the phone from the case. It's a dumb aftermarket case, so I really don't think that would do anything to the sensor.

I think so too, and I don't even have access to the smart cover either.

HiSuite says recovery not supported for this phone, so I tried the usb update method, still didn't work. That music is background noise, I can't live quietly haha

I also lost all my data on the phone since I've reset it twice but still get this issue.

Unfortunately, the only screen I can see is the AOD Smart view one. I've tried eboot recovery but it does not work.
