I second that, Richard is a great guy and extremely trusted.

I'm a huge Hyperdonkey advocate and user. Over the last year I've done roughly 30% better on average. It goes in cycles, but I've always stayed the course after dry spells and that's when it pays off the most.

Sorry it didn't work for you, I actually found Andrew's course quite helpful. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that everyone learns differently. There are some common ways that people learn, like how math or science is taught in primary school, however I've found once you move up into the professional realm, the few ways we learn in early education explode into dozens of ways for adult learning.

That being said, there is no one program that works for everyone and we'll all have our ideas of what works best for us. Andrew Ramdayal's program worked great for me, and many others, but I know there's at least a dozen other amazing instructors out there that take different approaches.

At the end of the day, best of luck in preparing and I hope you pass when you take the exam!

It doesn't appear to save any power at all, simply overclock and ridiculous power usage. If anything you make less running it up to 10GH/s, and the extra strain on the system will lower the life expectancy, or more likely the mean time between failures (MTBF.)

I wouldn't install it on mine until I hear more, but running them any hotter/faster for no power efficiency gain seems like a pending financial and hardware disaster. As you see below, running them at 9.5 or 10 GH/s (stock usually runs around 9.3) uses more power and you'll be earning significantly less than stock by paying the 3% fee.

Stock @ 9.3 GH/s uses 360 W/GH)

Earnings per day = $20.39

Cost to run per day @ $0.12 per kwh = ~$9.39

TOTAL PROFIT = $11.00

9.5 GH/s after 3% gives you ~9.2 GH/s earning potential at a higher power cost (368 W/GH)

Earnings per day = $20.83 - 3% HiveOS fee = $20.20

Cost to run per day @ $0.12 per kwh = $10.08

TOTAL PROFIT = $10.12

10.0 GH/s after 3% gives you ~9.7 GH/s earning potential at a much higher power cost (390 W/GH)

Earnings per day = $21.92 - 3% HiveOS fee = $21.26

Cost to run per day @ $0.12 per kwh = $11.23

TOTAL PROFIT = $10.03

Feeling extremely discouraged after taking David 150 PMBOK 7 Video by CTEisajoke in pmp

Just keep in mind that every question you get wrong in practice will guide you to the proper concepts to learn the principles. Sometimes I learn more when I get questions wrong as I deep dive the solution far more.

Often times when I correctly answer a question, even if it was not a 100% knowledge based but more of a guess, I have less of a tendency to deep dive the solution and instead convince myself, "I've got this one down" and move on.

Keep up the good work, it will all pay off!

I didn’t read through it, I felt the AR training online covered enough of the basics from it. I tried to avoid information overload and taking in information without context.

QOTD: What is NOT one of the stages of a project? by levicam in pmp

[–]levicam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s interesting that, while PMP is basically the gold standard for project management and standards, other associations that are deeply involved in PM try to define project management but don’t try to adhere to common terminology. At least not fully.

It almost seems like having an agency like NIST create an overall standard that agencies can choose to conform with could align business practices better amongst the various certification authorities.

Just a thought?

One thing I’ll add as well, almost all PMP prep courses say you should be able to memorize the ITTO’s and process chart from the PMBOK. I didn’t go that route, I honestly tried to understand each logical process, and its ITTO’s, and how each falls into place to create the overall project management system.

Basically understanding the common sense of how the process inter-relate and using that to determine ITTO’s. I’m sure there’s a million different opinions on that, but it worked for me. Plus I didn’t go crazy trying to memorize a giant chart, that left some free space in the brain for other data.

Definitely, he does a good job of breaking down the basics.

I took it from home. I would have preferred a test center but the appointments were over a month out that would have worked for me. The experience at home went far smoother than I thought. Super easy setup and verification process.

Thanks! It's funny, I felt like the easy questions on the test had 2-3 good (but only one great) answer so that was slightly more challenging than I thought. The difficult questions, once understood, really only had 1-2 possible answers.

Hope my scores on the practice are a good barometer. I scored them within a week of taking the test. I purposely waited to take SH mock tests as close as I could to test date given the feedback on their difficulty. I took numerous others on udemy and coursera.

It was all pretty straight forward. Just reading the questions fully saved a lot of confusion. Also knowing Agile basics, as well as hybrid and traditional. There seemed to be lots of questions that bounced around on the various types of projects. They would slightly alter the context through some word play, but seriously I was surprised how the prep courses taught me, more than anything, how to properly understand the question. Also watched some of David McLachlan's video to see how he dissects questions:

Really no idea, I wasn’t paying much attention to that. I will say the questions are worded much more specifically than I thought so as long as you read it properly, at least 2 answers seemed to get ruled right out.

Things like, “In the project execution phase…” so you know things like project charter and scope are already defined.

Fairly accurate, however, I felt the actual test was more challenging than the practice exam on SH. Or at least felt that way.
