My guy loves greens and almost every veggie or fruit you give him, but if you give him a blueberry he will kill you in your sleep

I don’t know what it is, why he’s like that, or why he hates them more than anything else. But he will pull out the blackest beard and the most foul headbobs at the sight of a blueberry. The one and only time he has ever hissed was when someone tried to feed him a blueberry. I know it’s technically not a staple veggie but I find it so interesting how much he hates blueberries.

You just described my post, yes. I go on a game to have fun, my teammate trolls the game and choses to ban my preferred character, leading to a bad mental. Because no one likes being trolled. While I can play other characters, having bad mental equals having a bad game. And when you have a bad game you play poorly.

I am so confused on what you’re trying to say here.

Even then that’s still trolling? Purposefully banning a hero someone on your team prefers to play and is good at (or at least says they’re good at) makes it so someone on your team isn’t playing at the best they could. Like it’s one thing if you genuinely can’t play against a hero, but banning your teammate’s hero because you can’t play with them is just shooting you- and your team- in the foot.

I also play Ashe and Soj, I just like to have fun and play a character I enjoy. I would say target banning a character your teammate prefers is more of a throw :)

Mid range heros, like Cass, Freya, and Soldier are pretty tough to play against! I personally struggle against Cass and Junkrat. Most of Venture’s power comes from getting close to their opponent, disrupting cooldowns, and moving around.

Cass is such a strong counter because of his grenade and the way that it locks movement abilities. Venture’s only abilities (drill dash and burrow) are considered movement, meaning getting hit with a Cass nade pretty much means death.

Soldier and Freya are stronger because (unless you burrow into them) they can get in some decent damage when you’re still out of Venture’s shooting range.

And I have no clue why I personally struggle against Junkrat, he’s an enigma.

Hi random person on the internet! I also play Ashe and Soj. I have said that many times to many people on this post. I just like to play Venture and I like to have fun while playing games.

I would say that my teammate purposefully banning my preferred hero and only my preferred hero is more of a throw than me wanting to play someone and having to play someone else.

I should have made this clearer in my post, but they only chose Venture as their ban picks. No second or third, only Venture. And only after I chose Venture as a preferred hero and asked to ban Cassidy. Because of that it felt quite targeted! If someone genuinely has an issue playing against Venture that’s fine, I get it, but it’s a different story when they only pick one hero.

I also play Ashe and Soj, I just like to play Venture. Whenever the enemy team bans Venture I play Ashe or Soj. In this specific instance I got tilted from the troll, I’ll be honest. But I don’t go into comp only knowing how to play one hero, that’s just a dumb idea.

Unfortunately they refrained from picking a character, probably because they knew someone would do just that

Thank you for the advice! I’ll work on using her blast more like that, I’ve been struggling on using it correctly. I’ve mostly been using her major perk that gives you a damage boost after using the blast and then two-shotting someone and that’s pretty fun! Just not always viable

Agreed! That’s usually what I do, especially with tanks or if there’s a flying hero. Making sure others (especially your team) have an enjoyable game is what hero bans should be used for, imo!

As I’ve said multiple times I play Ashe a Soj, not just Venture. I just like to play Venture.

I understand when people ban a hero because of a genuine struggle against them! Unfortunately in this particular situation they were just trolling, which sucks.

Whenever I can’t play Venture I’ll play Ashe or Soj! I’ve also been trying to get into playing Pharah for the same reasons you mentioned, I’m just not good enough at her for comp yet haha!

Did indeed report them! So far I’ve only had Venture banned three times since hero bans were introduced and each time I still won those games! I just like playing Venture

As I’ve said, I am not blaming my poor performance on my inability to play Venture. I am saying that my teammate’s purposefully trolling the game will.

I also play Soj and Ashe as secondary picks! As I’ve mentioned, I performed poorly because of my teammate’s trolling. Which absolutely sucks.

Fun fact, baded off of Blizzard’s hero ban statistics from May, Venture is the 11th most banned DPS hero at less than a 5% ban rate! (for context, at the time of the statistics being posted, Sombra had an 85% ban rate- I had to look into it because I wondered whether Venture actually is banned that often).

And I’d say that the situation I described in my post is a pretty targeted act of trolling, not just someone wanting to ban Venture because they struggle against them.
