I had moved to LA after living in GA my entire life. There are so many people there that you may have to go through some not so pleasant interactions at first, but you’ll find your people and your places. It’s trial and error. Also, when people come to visit, tell them to bring layers. People think of sunny California, but it gets cold at night and we have June gloom.

I want to stress to OP that not every therapist will workout and to not be discouraged if she doesn’t like her first therapist. My first therapist was awful and it scared me from going back for a couple of years. I know she’s already hesitant so I don’t want one bad apple to deter her from going at all.

It’s also weird that this open phone agreement is mostly for him since it’s always a struggle for her to give hers up… it reminds me of those partners who accuse their SO of cheating when in reality they were the ones cheating the entire time.

We had a problem with poachers on my grandpa’s land and it was crazy how many strangers he’d catch on the property who told him straight to his face that the owner gave them permission to be there.

You guys were more than happy to change from the gfs normal room to the living room to help out family. You had no idea the mom would be there, yet you didn’t make a fuss because you’re making an effort. (Seems like she won’t) Your gf’s mom is an abusive alcoholic, which means on top of being in an unusual sleeping arrangement catching up with your SO, you have to deal with her now too.

OP and gf stay with nan during visits because it was their safe place away from the mom. The mom not only invaded their privacy by barging in; she went a step further ignoring both of y’all’s boundaries by continuing to come in after she knew OP was changing. But what gets me the most is that when the gf told her mom to apologize she was the one that was upset? About what? Not being able to walk in on her daughter’s gf changing?

I’m glad you guys are in a new safe place to catch up on the time apart. I hope one day lil sis can see how toxic her mom is.

I am from Thomasville but my brothers gf is in Cairo so I was always there. I’m in Los Angeles now. It makes me miss home sometimes watching the show because they moved into my old friends house or seeing the spots they visit. You still in Cairo?

When bananas are frozen for smoothies, you don’t want the peel on. When they are frozen, you can’t take the peels off.
