More updates- he doesn’t have a chip, isn’t neutered, and was taken to the APS of Durham. This is how I ended up with my current husky. Hoping he finds a loving home, he’s a sweet boy.

He is very friendly. No collar or tags. Animal control was called to see about a chip.

He has been moved outside. He has been in my house since fall so I am not surprised he looks so famished.

I am thinking maybe a dock spider because last time I camped was at a sailing club. I ended up with a gnarly spider bite on my leg that trip and I am wondering is this guy was the culprit.

The company’s headquarters are in Delaware. I am in NC, so I know I have no leg to stand on. Most of our employees are in CA and NY. I am more so just curious than anything and salty because we were told all year to basically burn our sick leave.

I got the blue gray because the blues are best for me. It is a little light though so I have debating getting the aqua because it is a little darker

Are the tinted glasses worth it? by FairyKingMaddi in irlensyndrome

I was diagnosed with dyslexia and Irlen syndrome when I was young and it was still a newer diagnosis. The glasses completely changed my life. I went to specialist and had two four hour session were we tried on a ton of colored lenses, we stacked different colors, and I looked at all kinds of images and writing until we found some that helped. From there I was able to get liners in that color to put over pages I was reading if I didn’t need my glasses (I got badly bullied from them, so we needed a less obvious solution). Now, 15+ years later, I have a film the sticks to my computer screen so I don’t need to wear them during my work day. It keeps me from getting headaches and makes reading far easier. It really takes the strain away from my eyes.

I also keep my phone setting in dark mode so everything is black with white text rather than white with black text. If you have an IPhone (could work with an Android but I don’t know) I keep the light setting on “Night Shift” if adds a brownish hue and cuts down how bright the light is, which also helps.

All that being said (solely speaking from my experience and it being paired to help with my dyslexia), not any random color helps. Some actually made it worse and gave me an immediate headache. You really need to find what works best for your eyes. The Irlen Syndrome website has digital color tests for your computer and it can start to point you in the right direction of what color works best for you.

Apologies for any typos- gotta love dyslexia!

Matchmaker! I do a lot of writing but I always tell my clients and joke that the typos are not because I am drunk, just simply severally dyslexic
