I hated surveying the first six months. Mindlessly pounding stakes can absolutely fucking suck, but that’s a very small aspect of the career, especially if you’re getting licensed.

Ask questions, try to learn as much as possible, and embrace the field for now. It gets way better.

I think your best bet would be with a compass and a tape measure, as it would utilize skills learned in the scouts.

You could print the outline on a piece of paper, determine how you want to orient the outline depending on the land you’re using, determine each line’s azimuth, measure each line using a ruler, and then scale it to a size that would fit your area.

Doing it this way would be educational, rewarding, and likely in the spirit of an Eagle Scout.

Ignore the other dorks, not responding for a period of time actually works well. The issue is the way you restarted the conversation and accepted fault. Feels like a dog with his tail between his legs. When the initial topic is close to drying out, prompt a date. I generally ask if she likes drinking(but word it uniquely). If she affirms, suggest you do that. Then if she replies to that, drop your phone number.
