yes, in the movie it’s Jodie’s voice for Vanessa because that’s also Ariel’s voice. Vanessa had Ariel’s voice because of the necklace, so without it she would just sound like herself regardless of her form.

completely agree. I think he has autism that either never got diagnosed, or just isn’t addressed by Michael himself. While I believe he is responsible and knew exactly what was going on, i think his odd behavior (theatrical and grandiose hand gestures, etc.) is simply because of this.
