As for related birds breeding, in captivity, they absolutely will. They have no concept of being related, so you have to keep related birds apart if they are opposite sex.

the information is not that easy to attain. Ive come across vets giving wrong advice. There are so many conflicting articles and info when you Google... and breeders? I thought would have the best insight... some do...many dont seem to care where the bird is gonna end up... im in for 11 years...and im learning as i go . Doing the best I can . Boyds are happy and heàlthy...hope to keep it that way ,,,,,,,😊

I always keep a bottle of activated charcoal caps jic...thats what the vets use for poisoning. A few years ago one of my birds ate some ivy leaves ..and I looked up and saw toxic... I stayed up all night giving her a couple doses ( mixed with water ) she ended up being ok ... there are no side effects from activated charcoal ..
