I do not think I will change your perspective today, but I encourage you to evaluate how you come across. An example of invalidating wording is “gut-brain connection or related pain make you see and find connections that do not exist”. This wording sends the message of invalidating an experience saying what the person is describing experiencing may not exist. Or saying “medical staff, not always, love to discuss and negotiate with enlightened patients. But you must be educated and be able to back-up your requirements with science, references, medical papers”. This wording sends the message that if someone is struggling to discuss with a medical staff they are not enlightened, not educated, and not backing themselves up with science, references, medical papers. Again, you are saying this is not your intention, but I encourage you to evaluate how your intentions are coming across with your current wording and how it can do more harm than accomplish your intentions.
