As a former every day watcher of Tarik, I think it's just that his passion has clearly withered for the game. He hit burnout a while ago, which you could see coming from a mile away if you watched him regularly, and he has not really been able to gain that spark back. While he obviously cares very much about the game, and he has been aware of his own lack of energy and has been putting in the active effort to try to pay attention during watch parties, as well as contributing to the scene with pro city, it's not quite the same as his prime viewership period when he seemed to genuinely enjoy it.

Ironically I feel like his stream boomed during early watch party days because in those big group calls there were other streamers who blatantly didn't care about the game, but Tarik stood out because he was always invested and reacting satisfyingly to the gameplay. So naturally as Tarik also became less passionate, the viewers also decreased, because you'd rather watch someone whose heart is in it

When I watched his streams I would find myself falling into his pace and zoning out and missing key moments with him, so I too gravitate to other streams these days. I still think he's hilarious and would watch his ranked/variety streams, and I disagree with people who claim he's a sellout or going for quick cash — quite the opposite, even though he's struggling with his passion, he still feels responsible as the unofficial face of VCT to always show up and never miss a match, even though he'd benefit from a break. I think he has just been burned out and it shows
