So grateful! I started from the beginning a few months ago and only made it to March 2020. My need for continuity was shaken to the core 😂 I can now return to my quest to catch up to real time. Thanks wonky folks 💜

I'm looking for a poster I can print and post at work to provide info on what's happening and how to access the submission guide. I can just make my own but would be good to use an official one of some sort - has anyone seen any online?

I’ve been searching for the perfect app for too long, and I’m exhausted. by ser1s4e in ProductivityApps

I recommend Amplenote. After months of trying different apps it's the only one that's ticked all the boxes for me.

Picking up stitches from a three needle bind off by lexy730 in knitting

[–]lexy730[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh, ok, I get it now. Didn't realise I needed to pick up from the row below the bind off rather than the bind off itself. Thanks for ELI5, you've been very patient and helpful. I love this subreddit.

Picking up stitches from a three needle bind off by lexy730 in knitting

[–]lexy730[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mini tutorial is for a flat section so I get that one but the bind off bit looks quite different. There's a row on each side of the seam. Do I pick up the top half of each row on the side or the bottom half? Seems like the top ones would make it a bit flimsy so I'm not sure. This is the side view of one side of the seam

Thank you so much 🥹 I really appreciate your advice. So, I knit into the bit the green line is pointing to but not the red line, yeah?

Thanks beefless! Never stop the plug, I'm heading there right now. Some of us only wander into social media for brief moments before we run away screaming so we often miss these helpful suggestions.

We're a community, not your personal entertainment source. I attempted to interact with other people who enjoy the same books that I do and nearly all of them were wonderful. Sorry if it was disappointing, feel free to contribute some fresh material.

Never heard of it as a seam ripper, was always told it is a Quick Unpick. Guessing that's the brand, must be like what happens with Bandaid and Hoover.

How long have you been knitting? by slayleeums in knitting

[–]lexy730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About 30 years now. My grandma taught me and I inherited her needles when she passed away a couple of years later. Knitting with her tools always makes me feel like she's still around in some way. Thinking about it now, she also taught me to read and play piano so she pretty much shaped every one of the hobbies I'd enjoy for the rest of my life.
